Not off the 2nd line, but seriously off the lineup too. He is useless, just wake him up, or I don´t know what else.
I don't know what his deal is, I really liked his game the last couple years. He was a very intelligent player but it seems he lost his game overnight.

What a marvelous collection of the Penguins' greatest hits from the past few seasons:

- allowing a shorthanded goal - check
- allowing a 4 on 4 goal - check
- allowing goals in bunches - check
- allowing a goal right after taking the lead, thus losing all the momentum - check
- Jarry looking like a complete amateur right when the team needs a big save - check
- making a struggling opposition goalie look like a superstar - check
- total loser mentality - check
- inability to clear the crease - check
- too cute on the power play - check
- inability to capitalise on other teams' missing important players - check
- abandoning the successful tactics from the brief winning streak because we are too cool for this shit or something - check
- not learning anything from the losses following the exact same script against the exact same team

In short, way to go Pens, you sure know how to shoot yourselves in the foot.

The same dude who basically gave the Devils their 2nd goal?
That should tell you just how bad he's been.

From a poster on another site re Jarry:

—During his 6 wins, he's given up only 5 goals, with 4 shutouts. A .969SV% and 0.833 GAA
--During his 6 losses, he's given up 23 goals, giving up 4 or more goals in 4 of those games. A .846SV% and 3.833 GAA.
All or nothing, Jekyll or Hyde.

Devils out played us and deserved the W.

I give no fault to Jarry I don't see any goalie unless they are on a heater winning us the game.

We won 5 in a row. Let's see how we bounce back

The acres of room on the short side that Bratt had to shoot for the GWG were downright embarrassing. Feast or famine Jarry strikes again.
Mind you, many goalies are like that but the Pens' mental fragility makes it almost impossible to scrape wins when the bad version of Jarry shows up.

Jarry is not that great positionally. Like or not, he reminds me more of a 1990's goalie than a modern - day tender. He cheats, he is lazy positionally (the brodeur one leg up one down save) and he uses his reflexes.

This means he will always be "streaky." Let's hope he gets streaky in the playoffs.

He is what he is, perhaps slightly above average. Maybe average.

This was like a clinic on how not to play against New Jersey or any good team really. It was shocking we were in the game for so long playing like that.

As I said, this was the first game I got to watch since before the winning streak.

I'm starting to think this was a very elaborate prank and they never actually won 5 in a row. Because from what I've seen this year, there's no way this team could win 5 games in a row, regardless of the level of competition.

I go the other route other than 'he just isn't that good'. Which of course is more than likely realitiy... but I want to add a level of complexity. Playing goalie destroys your knee's and joints... mental stress on top of it... and not just for a few years... these guys have been playing sports their entire walking lives.
I played sports my entire life, was active, beat the heck out of my body... and man do I feel it and I'm nowhere near pro-level type of abuse / training / pressure.

Kind of forgot where I was going with this... oh... maybe he's one of them... :dunno:

I've laid this out in the other thread: Jarry is physically damaged which translates to his mental game being weak.

He's Matt Murry 2.0 but people are in denial. We've got 4 more years of this nonsense
