I've been very happy with how Maatta has looked in the preseason so far. Very aggressive offensively, his skating looks better and he still looks good defensively.

Also McClement has looked like poo.

I'm relieved about McClement obviously sucking now. There's no getting tricked by him and having crap when he gets comfortable or tired 20 games in. And if they sign him then it's all on them for making a bad decision.

The defense could have quite a good season for the games they're moderately healthy.

He's playing how he needs to play as an OFD. He's not playing like the bland D that was nothing offensively or defensively like he was doing last year.
