Probably for the best. Not that I think anything of Poulin as a prospect anymore, but you probably don't wanna put the nail in the coffin for the dude's confidence by keeping him up and benching him in favor of someone like Acciari or Nieto.

lol I seriously don't understand how ya'll intend this team to rebuild f***-all if it can't even bring itself to play a safe prospect in a depth role.

Two things are equally true...

1. Poulin has done absolutely nothing to stand out at the NHL level. Even on the DOC and Poolparty line, it was those two doing the bulk of the work.

2. I'd still rather see Poulin in the lineup than Nieto, Acciari, Hayes, or Beauvillier.

Poulin over his six games was one of the only positive GF% forwards on the team at 5v5 alongside his line mate Pulju and DOC at 50%. Acciari and Nieto had 0 points during that time. Poulin had an assist.

Not really sure what Poulin has to do to "stand out". His line was great.

Yeah I would rather see Poulin actually playing and putting up points at the AHL level. Sully giving him 9 minutes a game helps no one.

It honestly feels like some of these call ups are for optics.

As I said, he was a byproduct of the work his linemates did. They were winning more puck battles, carrying play, getting opportunities on net.

Poulin has two shots on goal in six games. He was losing puck battles. He had numerous obvious turnovers.

I want to see more activity.

Again, I'd rather see him than everyone else named, but let's not make it seem like he was setting the world on fire.

Poulin was not the worst forward on the roster. If they're trying to tank, then this makes sense; get him more minutes on a team that will win games.

If they're still pretending to be in the playoff hunt, then this is crazy.

For a 4th several years down the road, that's a decent pick up. I think he'll probably just rot in the press box or WBS tbh but whatever. Still only 23.

I don’t know Tamasino besides recognizing the name from his draft. AHL production leaves a lot to be desired.
