Blake I’m a little familiar with, kinda like a right handed Guentzel. I assumed he was undrafted and older.

Carolina’s interesting.. they don’t keep all their 1sts and when they do they’re low, but they somehow accumulate a large volume of later picks. Many fizzle quickly, some develop well. And some are used as trade pieces before they even find out.

Jason Blake is his dad so I feel if he came here he would tear it up just based on karmic retribution for what a little shit his dad always was against the Pens.

I sure hope he's part of this.

Sure, but the word is the organization can be miserly. What if the quality of life at the rink isn't as good? People joke about it being a country club, but the reputation the Penguins have around the league is they treat players very well.

I'm just saying -- he hasn't even played a game there. The trade isn't even official. We have no idea how Guentzel will react.
I think of Las Vegas and Pittsburgh being the two ends of the franchise loyalty to players spectrum. Knowing how things work, I almost guarantee that Jake has earned enough points from the organization that they asked for his consent to be traded. In Vegas, they trade players casually with their morning croissant and coffee and without a second thought.

Yeah it will be Morrow, another prospect and a 2nd. Either a bit low or about in line with what I was expecting depending on the prospect.

If it's Blake, I'm totally good. Someone like Suzuki? Eh, it's fine.
