Regardless of the return— it’s not like we didn’t take the best offer.

Idk man. Selling is more difficult to grade. isn’t exactly as easy as clowning the Granlund for a 2nd move.

Teams know they can violate the Pens because of the awful shape we're in, so they do it.

They know we have to accept shit because we have no promising prospects and no picks, either.

I’m sure it’s gonna be Necas and Bunting like you predicted and Dubas didn’t get taken to the cleaners like he has for 5+ years.

Why not trade Sid for Max Domi. Malkin for Ryan Reaves. Letang for a 6th rounder and rip the bandaid off already? Team is terrible at trading. Anyone else would have gotten Lekkerimaki Hoglander and a first (or equivalent of).

Where I’ll let you all know I also think it sucks that we traded Guentzel and a 4th for Bunting and a 3rd.

This is true. It's selling vs. holding on somehow and signing him to a 7 year, $66M extension.

Given that this team sucks, and it goes deeper than Mike Sullivan, I will cheer any move that sacrifices present for future. This party is over.
 
Taken to the cleaners over a rental? I don’t know that I agree with that. It was either you take what you can get or you sign him.
 
Just to be clear Yakov Trenin went for a 3rd and a prospect. Anthony Duclair just went for a 3rd. If Dubas couldn’t do any better than Bunting, a mid prospect and a conditional pick then yes he absolutely sucks and deserves every ounce of criticism he would get

Kind of a rush though.

Over half a dozen teams were in on this. Wait too long and bidders drop out to pursue plan B. I would bet dimes to dollars several threatened just that if this went into tomorrow. No one wants to be left holding the bag and all the viable alternatives are gone.

That was my fear in fact.

If you want a good return tonight makes the most sense.

Still Quantity over quality. I’ll trade you my Markus Naslund rookie cards (x7) for a Wayne Gretzky rookie.
 
Morrow is a very good get here. He was who I wanted in the deal. RD with size and skill. Probably got a second if they got Morrow. But if Bunting, Morrow and and second is the deal I take it.
