We might have sat close to each other in the lower bowl those years. $20 student rush tickets. Just about 5000 of us there lol

Oh yea. My friends and I would take turns skipping school early to get in line for the Rush. I think back in 02, 03, 04 the tickets were even cheaper than $20. You could end up with 4 center ice tickets in a row if you got to the Student rush line early enough.

We sucked, but there were also no expectations. It's 2003 and we drafted a goalie named Fleury, he's supposed to be pretty good. Sweet, you'd say, maybe things will turn around, but the next second we'd get blown out by the Devils. Fleury makes a nice save in the next game. We are so back baby. Then we proceed to lose 20 straight. It didn't really matter, the lows never reached the frustrations of 2020-2024.

But also life was more chill back then.

For no real reason. Both sucked.

Fun fact, I have a game used Sebestian Caron stick from his first recall I got at a Pens-Caps game before the Olympics, it was also Koltsov's 2nd nhl game.

I didn't say he wasn't boring, but he's not the adventure in the D zone like the majority of our blue liners are. He's simple, he's easy and he's consistent but unremarkable. He WILL be missed. Not by you necessarily, but he will be missed. Well, until 7/1 maybe?

I didn't have an issue with his game, he was a number six. He was more steady than the more prolific guys who turned over the puck as if they were trying to reach a quota for cryin out loud.
