I don't think that'll happen but I'd be pleasantly surprised. Kakko is probably damaged goods and beyond fixing at this point, particularly under Sully's tutelage, but that's a nice buy low player.

Nah I don’t think NYR would do it, but I’d take a flyer on him for Smith if they would.

Smith at 50% for a 2nd, similar to what Mantha was moved for.

Edit: actually seeing that Zucker trade, I'm not even sure that Smith brings back a 2nd. More like a 3rd.

Realistic price tag. 2nd or 3rd makes sense. I can't see us retaining this year and next though unless there is a young piece coming back. So if it was Kakko+2nd for Smith @50% + 3rd or something, I could see it.

He could, especially if a couple other forwards get shipped out and O'Conner and Harkins are on IR. I could see the org wanted to get a look at him for a few games at the very least to see where he is at.

That’s why I like the ruh deal. A future 4th is better than a current 6th. What a deal for Zucker at that price though.

Considering the prices that this deadline seems to have for wingers, I'd honestly look at not trading Smith now and waiting until the off-season or next deadline.
