Pettersson hasn't had a good year. You can see it because it's obvious. He plays a weaker game than he did last season. He plays like he doesn't want to get hit.

Not to say that he won't be better next season. If he puts in work this off-season and can get to at least a healthy BMI, he will probably be a better player.

Personally, I'd rather Wood replace McCann.

Yeah I think Wood-Geno-Rust would be interesting to see the rest of the way. He skates well and protects the puck really well for a decent sized guy.

The other issue for me is he's not skating to pressure. A lot of the time, he's crapping his pants at the sight of pressure almost as gratuitously as Schultz.

hes better than Riko but Riko doesn't make 4 mil after this year for the next 5 seasons.

obviously Riko could never be able to play Petterssons role, but Petts needs to be better and stronger on the puck, i like that Riko is confident when he has the puck.

I went on a few hate speech level rants about Simon last season. But I don’t mind him there as long as the line is producing. If Guentzel comes back. I wouldn’t mind seeing a top six of Zucker - Sid - Simon, and Guentzel - Geno - Rust. I see that top six just terrorizing D pairs.
