I get why those guys stay positive because it would be a bit dreary listening to an announcing team sounding depressed all the time but man if there isn't a part of me that sometimes wants them to just call this team what it is and stop pretending to be optimistic.

Rupp has always sucked, so not really surprised, but Army's been such a disappointment. I wish they had just kept Errey, but tbh, I saw it coming the second they announced FSG as the new owners.

Getzoff is at least an upgrade on Mears. He's a neutral. Doesn't really bother me in any way.
Mears made me actively seek alternative broadcasts.

Army is ok as a third wheel guy who occasionally has something funny to say but he can't carry a broadcast by himself as a color guy.

They never should have gotten rid of Errey.

The Ducks have a higher P%. They have 25 mil in cap space.
Utah is .500. Philadelphia is .500. Calgary is .583.

Stop blaming lack of talent for 9 2+ goal blown leads in 20 games. That's mentality. That's failed system work. That's coaching.
Even Wilkes would win in regulation against the Sharks with a 3-goal lead with 28 minutes left.

Considering them being overloaded with talent brought b2b cups, talent is very much the key ingredient to winning *consistently*.

This roster is a ghost of its former self. Like there isn't a fraction of depth to be counted on.

The roster is mediocre, not "worst goals against in the entire league" and "can't beat a decent team to save its life" bad. It's also been remarkably healthy since the start of last season. No one expects the team to be a Cup contender and most people realize that even making the playoffs would be a tall order, regardless of who is coaching. But when a team is making the exact same incredibly dumb unforced errors season after season, despite being full of veterans who have won it all and should know better, it's hard to avoid thinking the coach might be doing something seriously wrong, you know.

There's exactly 4 players left from the days of knowing better who've won it all. Even if you go back a couple years it's the common guys who you are referring to.

The rest of the team was stripped and if down to just the 4 now that Guentzel is gone.

Who are these veterans who've won it all beyond who I mentioned? Eller wasn't exactly a world wind and he's also gone. When you say full veterans, I think you're full of shit. That's like 6 guys of a 23 man roster, now down to 4.
