Let me correct myself, Klein lacks hockey hand-eye coordination to be a good NHL defender.

I bet if Stralman deflects a puck into our net it's just bad puck luck. According to you, of course.

I really don't get why so many of you have the need to blame someone everytime a goal is scored against? Is it really that important to find a scapegoat? This is a great hockey game. Bounces happen, mistakes happen, **** happens. Enjoy!

Love the energy from Kreider and others. Nash hitting stuff. Hank is on. And we are still to see the Zuccabrasspoo get in gear. Can hardly wait til 2nd period.

I mean, I can see the concept behind it. Normally someone ****ed up to lead to a goal. Almost every goal has someone ****ing up. But then you have the truly flukey stuff like that that you just can't blame ANYONE for.

I think part of the problem is that, anecdotally, it seems more of those stupid goals go in against us than for us.

****** goal, but cant let that fluky crap goal let us let slow down.
Come out hard again in the 2nd!

Pens failed on the PP again. Crosby did not score...AGAIN!! And the Pens only goal was a damn flukey one. Rangers look so much better than Pitts. And I do believe AV will out coach Bylsma.
Come on NYR...get out there and continue the pressure in the 2nd period.

I think anyone who understands how the game is played would be facepalming at you blaming Klein, there. What a complete and utter lack of understanding of playing defense on your part.

Again, would you prefer him just leave his man open for a free shot at the puck? Or would you prefer him to properly cover his man as he's cutting to the side of the net?

Please explain to all of us what you would have done differently there. This should be good.

Exactly, at every level of hockey you are instructed to take the man. If it's being done right, you most likely aren't looking at the point man shooting the puck.

We got the **** end of a wacky bounce. Sucks, but it happens. A more constructive discussion would revolve around the Rangers response to that bounce.

Not it didn't.

The penalty was a result of the Pens taking control of the play.

There was a natural shift of the momentum. Welcome to sports 101

Nils the Rangers are supposed to flat out dominate every game. Momentum shifts aren't actually a thing. Pls.

Were people expecting us to keep that pace?

That's not how sports work

The Rangers have produced far more high quality scoring chances though. I actually had no idea the Pens had lobbed that many shots, sure didnt feel like it

I thought the keep in that led to the Pens goal was offside, which is why the Rangers were caught off-guard, but I would have to get another look.

(And I finally got to sit down and turn the TV on about a minute before that goal.)

Yep. And the Pens got a bit of momentum out of it. Here's hoping the Rangers get their bearings in the locker room and write that crap goal off like it should be. Their play was fantastic for most of the period.

Can you imagine the outrage if Klein had peeled off his man and let him cut to the side of the net unabated?

The Pens are a very good team, which is why minimizing mistakes is critical.

They played the 2nd half of that period the way they played all of Game 5.

The unforced giveaways are inexcusable.

Unlucky goal to give up but **** happens. We still got one on them. Let's add to it. :)

Also, Marty scoring on this day is beyond perfect.
