Minten seems like the type of guy more likely to have success at the NHL level then AHL. Less chaotic, linemates will be where they should be, etc.

Probably, but I also just think he's going to be our Kampf replacement most likely, and be a home grown, cost controlled 4C. I just don't think there is a lot of offense there. If he makes it as high as 3C, I'd consider that a nice surprise. I'd consider that swap for next year, to save a bit on the Salary Cap.

That would be fine.
If they could get a full time center, who could play 3rd. in a pinch, but otherwise be in the line-up it is good.

And for reference only, Minten's draft:

Whats the latest with Cowan? His game cooled off?
His point streak ended at 65 games finally... so we can stop talking about that. He isn't putting up the same amount of points as last year, but apparently working on other parts of his game. In the end, we get too excited about what prospects do, or don't do in Juniors.... He's a prospect, that might be part of our system after the trade deadline, or not... I wouldn't get too worked up about what he's doing, or not at the moment.

I m sorry for sounding elitist, but most fans have no effing clue what they are looking at.

Cowan has been good. Really good. He is playing on an absolutely stacked London team who have multiple stars and are future NHLers, on it.

If he played on a crappy team where he was the guy, his points would be higher. Who cares though!!! Everyone focuses on points points points.

Very simply, the Knights do not rely on Cowan to be a point machine or just an energy guy. So, of late he doesn’t “pop” as much when you watch him.

I do think he has coasted at times during the year - but this kid has played a TON of hockey and had some injuries.

Long OHL playoff run
WJH camp
Leaf camp
Knights
World Junior tourney

It’s a lot. He’s still producing, leading and having success.

IMO - He is a perfect middle six 6 NHL winger all day. Likely 3rd liner who can fill in on second line.

Focusing on making his game "More pro worthy" rather than simply chasing points.

Thank you gents. Appreciate the responses
