Top two lines not doing much, Keefe should mix them up. I’m good with doing that routinely. The two combos work both ways, should be a permanent consideration.

Needs to be lower in the line-up.

Malgin on the hand is taking control of the puck when he has it. One track mind, shoot the puck, but he's retrieving, carrying and working much smarter.

That was brutal from Mitch. Not a great play from AM, but he was put in a bad position.

I don't know how you can blame Holl as that puck deflected off of Brodie right to the Pgh player.

Watching Mats, Eddie pre game really made me long for those Quinn teams we were fortunate to watch 20 years ago.

I remember when people were saying to me that Malgin had peaked in pre-season and didn't deserve a spot, while saying Robertson would just get better.

Unfortunately I think you're right. And there's nothing wrong with that either. Go down and play 15 games or so to get the confidence back and reassess after that.

And no one is talking about it. Everyone is calling out matthews or defense or whatever... no one sees the stupid plays marner makes in neutral zone to give away the puck.

Marner is really getting on my nerves this season

I've actually been noticing it the last week, basically every game he'll do something like a pass from the halfboards to a defenseman on the blue line.

There's an opponent close to blocking the lane but Marner thinks he's good enough to make the pass and they get a takeaway. Meanwhile Marner has a much safer play putting it behind the net or something else.

Seems to happen at least once a game (something equivalent but equally as dangerous). He's got offensive skill and use to backcheck well but he's having gaffes like Gardiner and Holl
