Penguins fire Mike Johnston, Mike Sullivan named new head coach

Pens 4-6-2 since the firing of Johnston. They look better under Sullivan but the team seems to still be missing something.

They're missing one thing: Tyler Bozak

Those would essentially setup the other teams

Better be a big + for a declining Weber or Pens get completely fleeced.

They also started out 0-4 with Sullivan, so it's not nearly as bad as the record would suggest. They've gained ground on the WC since he was hired.

Yeah but didnt they lose the first 4 or 5 games under Sullivan? Overall they look like a tougher out (speaking as a Caps fan) under Sullivan than they did under Johnston. 87 definitely found his groove again when MJ was shown the door

Their score adjusted Fenwick is 54.2 since Sullivan took over, third best in the league in that time--it was 48.3 and 21st in the league under Johnston this season. So, the fancy stats are matching your eye test.
