I had a feeling that this was coming, regardless of result last night. First game back after a couple weeks on the road, the team mostly looked like ass on said trip (though a bright spot in Colorado, shockingly, with Scuderi nowhere near the ice).

His coaching philosophy does not translate to the NHL level and he's been coaching to not get fired for a year...Rutherford speaking publicly about Johnston refusing to play Sprong made it clear that this was incoming.

Agnew seems to still think that Rob Scuderi is a shut-down defenseman who helps the team he plays for, so I'm thrilled to see him purged as well...not loving that Tocchet is still there, but replacing the entire coaching staff mid-season can be a bit tricky and he was the least egregiously atrocious of the trio.

The WBS to NHL pipeline is in effect yet again, though Sullivan is far more experienced than any coach to come out of there since Therrien.
