Confirmed with Link: Penguins and Mike Sullivan part ways

Yeah, like if the main reason people are saying they hate Kap is because he was unhappy with his job on a professional level and sought solace in booze and f***ing, I don't get it. I feel like that is way more identifiable than Sid's maniacal obsession with the minutiae of the game.

It's fine to dislike him as a player, but honestly, all this talk about how Kap hated his time on this team and wanted to simply chase tail and live large makes me like him way more as a person. :

No one is saying they hate Kapanen? I'm saying it's stupid to blame Sullivan for "ruining him" when what ruined Kapanen is him being an alcoholic.

Pfffft he was just too weak to learn how to become a FUNCTIONING alcoholic!

He coulda just duct taped a goon bag inside his sports jacket like the rest of us and gone on his merry way but NOOOOOOOOOOO

Kap's just a shit-for-brains. I don't care if he drinks. He's a piece of trash for driving drunk, but the only thing worth talking about is how much he sucks at hockey. /shrug

And he did that all on his own. Sullivan's coaching wasn't gonna pull him outta that tailspin, but the dude very much did need serious coaching and a mentor to get his head on right and take being a professional hockey player seriously.

Honestly, that's not even worth talking about. He's no longer here.

I'd rather just talk about how he admitted he would rather rail strange than be on a Mike Sullivan squad because it's funny and frankly, I find that pretty hard to criticize.

The annual 5+ months of off-season nothingness as a Penguins fan for the past 7 seasons has us all worthy of straightjackets.

Flip Rakell. Play young guys. Profit.

I have gone to probably 10 games, but I have been casually following the team this season just because I have been busy, but I still have no idea why Rakell was on this team after the deadline. He is the antithesis of what we are trying to do here. He's a criminally underrated player around the league.

He's Jake light and it's unfortunate we couldn't figure all of this out with Jake in the fold. My appreciation for that dude has gone up 100 fold after he left. I hate when that happens.
