Yeah, like if the main reason people are saying they hate Kap is because he was unhappy with his job on a professional level and sought solace in booze and f***ing, I don't get it. I feel like that is way more identifiable than Sid's maniacal obsession with the minutiae of the game.

It's fine to dislike him as a player, but honestly, all this talk about how Kap hated his time on this team and wanted to simply chase tail and live large makes me like him way more as a person. :

No one is saying they hate Kapanen? I'm saying it's stupid to blame Sullivan for "ruining him" when what ruined Kapanen is him being an alcoholic.

Kap's just a shit-for-brains. I don't care if he drinks. He's a piece of trash for driving drunk, but the only thing worth talking about is how much he sucks at hockey. /shrug

And he did that all on his own. Sullivan's coaching wasn't gonna pull him outta that tailspin, but the dude very much did need serious coaching and a mentor to get his head on right and take being a professional hockey player seriously.
