The only thing more exhausting than the negativity and complaining are the people riding in right behind all the negativity and complaining who complain about the negativity and complaining.

Admit it. You guys like it. Ya'll wouldn't have much to do here, otherwise.

Yeah I think the local media fawning over him has been way too much. Yohe especially. But the team social media is absolutely going to make these posts for someone who won two Cups with the team every time. The Lightning will do the same for Jon Cooper whenever and however his tenure is over there too.

The Cups are worth celebrating. Sullivan had a hand in cementing the legacies of Crosby and Malkin whose legacies were up in the air before he showed up.

Bringing back my necro account but I'm going to jump right into the fray:

What's going to be the elevator pitch to a candidate coach? "We need you to manage the egos of aging stars, while also developing prospects to their max potential, while not being too good so we get a top 5 pick. And oh yeah, you're only getting 3 years max so when things may start to look up your contract won't be renewed so we can get someone with proven results and playoff experience. Also by the way, your record is gonna suck so you'll have to go back to the minors/Europe to be a head coach again"

With that kind of premise it sounds like the only people you'll get are either financially strapped yes-men rubber stampers for the GM or someone naive enough who doesn't know any better. Believe me, I've wanted Sullivan gone since 2019 but as cathartic as this is, long term there is still a lot of uncertainty with this team barring some kind of miracle.

Your first nhl head coach job and Sid and Geno on the team is a pretty big pro.

LOL... this is based on what exactly???? People just make crap up...........pathetic.

I saw him at the facility in MID August before his 2nd season here working out with a mix of Minor players and Marino. Dude showed up for 3 days and looked like a superstar up against any other player on the ice. He also stayed longer than anyone else over those 3 days. But hey, make more crap up to fit your narrative.

Sully RUINED HIM. And I could put together a long list of other players that Sully destroyed. F sully and F your BS narrative.

Based on Kapanen being a self admitted alcoholic that got a DUI 2 years ago and would regularly post photos of him partying.
