Williams can take his top possession to another team. Toffoli looked more alive on the third line than him.

Please leave Mitchell and Regehr. So slow and bad. Got burned left and right.

well, I couldn't watch until the Blues - Hawks game ended, so I saw a 3-1 Kings victory.

Jones' last 2 saves were stellar as well and gave the Kings a chance.
 
If I'm Sutter, I'm at least considering benching Richards and Williams for game 2. They have done nothing positive for the past month.

Agreed. Maybe pulling quick helped and sent a message. Should have pulled him in the first when the Kings went down 3-0 in the first.
 
The Sharks probably did sit back, but if you don't count the last 20 minutes then the Kings playoff run is very bleak.

Good 20 minutes at the end, but gotta play a full 60.
 
I stand corrected. The Kings did make adjustments during the second intermission. Gives me hope that they'll make the right adjustments going into game 2.

But replace them with whom?

I'd love for a couple of guys to get benched, but there is no replacements for them. You can't throw rookies out there, they'll get crushed. Nothing is gonna really change, gotta wait for the offseason to make big changes and the cap is gonna be a ***** but Deano has big decisions to make.
 
hard to single out any particular person becasue the whole team played like crap. Proud that they fought their way back into it, but you have to play the full 60 minutes in order to win.

Yup Sutter should keep the lines the same from the third. Richards on the fourth, and King on the 3rd.

Maybe even putting Toffoli with Kopitar.
 
69 hits by the Kings? 9 by Kopitar which was most by any player on either side? Damn.
 
That 3rd period gave me so much confidence in this team. This series is far from over. Let's hope for the split on sunday.
 
Bodes well for game 2 is all I see. Big picture it would be nice to take one in SJ but it's still not a series till the home team loses a game. Glad we got our ***** kicked all over the rink in the first two periods to force some adjustments. Have no doubt that Quick will bounce back hard and the big guys will be ready to play.

it would be a huge risk, but Pearson and Vey. I know it'll never happen but maybe they would at least play with some energy and Vey would at least provide more offense than Richie.
