Quick? Struggle? In a game that matters? Nah, I won't believe it before I see it.

Lot of our guys truly have another gear that they save for the playoffs. I was concerned with Quick before 1st game against Blues last year, and he probably played his finest of all season till that game. Later he pulled off other incredible performances.

Some may respond with Hawks game 2 here when he got pulled but that was a b2b game, we all know how Quickie is on b2b's.

He does have a hard act to follow, though. Posted a .940 over the last two years despite the sub-par CHI series. But I agree...we were a little worried last season then blew up once the playoffs started

I'm okay with hotheadedness. I love Quick sticking up for himself and I don't even mind Smith doing it. What I hate with Smith is the diving and the intentional "linger too long" play behind the net where he dives every time. Goalie hacking guys in front? I'll take that from my goalie anytime. Goalie starting **** THEN hiding behind refs like Smith? No thank you.

Don't get me wrong, I want Quick focused--he seems to do well when engaged in the game, it may be smarter to leave him alone --but if he sticks up for himself when guys are crashing, I'm all for it. (would also prefer our d-men to help out)
