I don't care if Chiasson becomes a superstar I hope he is not on this team next year.

Ok but it was awfully smart of him to drop the gloves. He was avoiding coincidental minors and the refs gave them the 4 on 4 anyway. He did the right thing. They blew the call.

Worst part of this is the Stars (with the help of the refs), by blowing that lead and losing int OT, have immortalized a terrible team full of classless, whiny, diving asshats. Look forward to the Ducks getting blown out in round 2. Well at least we get a high pick in the draf.......oh wait.

Welp, that was a tough way to drop the series.

On to next year, at least I feel good about things moving forward versus the last 6 years...

Blaming this loss on the refs is weak.

We were up 4-2 with 2 mins left. yeah blaming refs sucks. but they DID suck pretty bad. including the minors that Getzlaf just said was so important.

It's not weak. That offsetting minors call should have been five for fighting. Dallas won the draw that would have gained us possession but it was blown dead to re check the clock. And that's all within the last 2:20 on the game. Far more other problems.

Dallas was better 5 on 5, easily. Anaheim got bounces, they got the calls, and they won. The team could have had better special teams but we can absolutely blame the refs and have it not be weak.

Good season you guys. We were all pulling for you over on the Bruins board. A heart wrenching loss is sometimes necessary to become great, we know that pretty well. You're definitely trending in the right direction. You have a hell of a team, be proud.

Don't blame the refs guys. The Ducks were clutch and our guys screwed up a 2 goal lead. Enough of this ref ********.

I didn't look at it that way. But he still is not very good.

Quick to blow it dead when it hurts the Stars, but not so quick when it helps Ducks. :amazed: Unreal.

I am not one of those people who goes around HATING certain players, HOWEVER......I cannot stand Perry. I've heard many accounts of what a dick he is OFF the ice to people, not just on.

Between Dallas and St. Louis losing today....not a great playoff day for me :(

This game ruins what was going to be a great story. If they lost in Game 7 or even this game I would have still been quite happy with the season and effort.

But blowing a 2 goal lead with 3 minutes left? Just leaves a sour taste on the whole thing.

well said

No its not. They gave them a 5-4 advantage where the Stars couldn't ice the puck because they refused to call a fighting major even though both players threw off the gloves. Then they kept trying for the faceoff even though Eakin won right to an open Garbutt. Then they let the Ducks poke under Kari's pads until they get the puck and score. Absolute ****ing **** show. The fell for the Ducks ******** embellishment all series long and gave them the benefit of the doubt whenever possible.

dude, who cares about the pick...we got into the playoffs, this season has been a massive success

when we wake up tomorrow the taste of this defeat will be gone, this super young team (with a bit of fat that will be cut) did amazing

Oh, that's an understatement... The next season, though? ;) Hopefully history repeats itself for you guys. Series of ups and downs, won't get much lower than this. You're a very young team, huge lesson tonight.

This was an amazing year every aspect of this team panned out better than I expected. Tell me in September that the Stars would take the top team in the West to overtime in Game 6 and would've called you a cab. Thanks for another great season boys, no more under the radar for us!
