they better up their game, IMO TSN has the best broadcast right now.
I am not looking forward to Kyprios being shoved down our throats.

Yeah not looking forward to it. Not much they can do though since TSN locked up all the good talent. And the games look like crap. And Sportsnet is somehow allowing the idiot dinosaur to keep going (Cherry). Not too mention Sportsnet is going to cost me like 10+ dollars a month on top of what I already pay (TSN+TSN2 is free). Let's just say for soo many reasons I am very very upset about that deal.

All CBC and Sportsnet.

Mostly Sportsnet. CBC will have a shell of HNIC, but that's about it. It's going to be Sportsnet people for the most port.

Not really a bad thing. As much as I love CBC's directing, their on-air talent the last 2 years or so has devolved to an absolute joke. Friedman and Maclean are the only two worth salvaging.

God, I had a dream last night that we were up 3-0 after the 1st thanks to a Voynov hattrick. And then blew it in the 2nd and lost like 7-5. We seemed to be playing Montreal AND Detroit....

Yup. Keep that god awful Mark Lee over Chris Cuthbert. A stupid, stupid move.

I quite like listening to Cherry's segments, more than pretty much anything on NBC. He can be a buffoon but he knows his hockey.

Cuthbert was more of a loss than the HNIC anthem. But I guess Mark Lee has that rare combination of flat AND loud that I guess CBC strives for, so who knows.

I am surprised by all the complaints on the broadcasting crew. I concentrate on the game and what the players are doing and the commentating is just white noise. Is it just nervous energy?

These people get paid lots of money to do what they do. It is ok to be a critic of the ****y ones.

Probably a little, but I could see how it would be annoying if you actually listened to them (whoever "them" happen to be on a given night).

This is why I love most sharks fans

People just like to complain. Everyone has an opinion and they love to share it. Just look at Facebook and Twitter.

People complained forever about ESPN's coverage of hockey. Then hockey left ESPN and then a few years later every was clammoring for it go back on ESPN. I personally think NBC/NBCSN does a good (if not great) job televising hockey. I think the production quality is light years from when the NHL originally went to OLN then Versus. The production quality has impoved every year and it went from looking like a high school production to a professional production in that time span. That is my two cents. And yeah, Doc Emrick and his "waffleboarded" and "driiiiiiiive" comments are a bit obnoxious but <insert your favorite announcer here> can't call every game. There just aren't enough of them to go around.
