AMD introduces $599 Radeon RX 9070 XT and $549 RX 9070 RDNA4 GPUs

The XT's pricing is a relief and what I realistically hoped that it'd be. Credit to AMD for listening to the community. Also, it's nice to see comparisons to other cards at native settings and not with upscaling and frame gen enabled. Their slides show the XT being only 2% slower than the 5070 Ti at 4K Ultra settings in 30+ games and only 8% slower in the raytraced titles (but 2% faster and only 5% slower, respectively, for the OC models). So, it's pretty close to the performance of the 5070 Ti at 4K for $150 less.

The non-XT's pricing is puzzling and reminiscent of the initial pricing of the 7900 XT and 7700 XT. No one is going to buy the non-XT if the XT is only $50 more, but the upsell may be the plan, and then the non-XT might sell when the cheapest XT models go out of stock.

Honestly, the $600, and IF it has actual availability, the XT could be a massive boon for AMD.

But yeah, the non-XT should of been $500. It basically gets suffocated and killed by XT sales.

Nvidia still refusing to put any decent amount of VRAM is the real joke of each new generation. It's just planned obsolescence.

If they made phones, they would have 32GB as a standard and 64GB if you are willing to pay a premium for their high-end model.

As expected, the 9070 XT's raster performance lands between the 7900 XT and 7900 XTX and between the 5070 and 5070 Ti, while the RT performance is a lot better than the 7900 XTX and on par with the 5070.

Surprisingly, FSR 4 provides slightly better image quality than DLSS 3 (with the CNN model), though it falls quite a bit short of DLSS 4 (with the Transformer model). It still seems like quite an accomplishment.

I just needed a 50 series to get the 240Hz out of my 57" Samsung monitor. I was just able to land the 5070 Ti at Best Buy. What's a good place to try to sell my 4070 Ti?

Reading all these reviews, I don't think I'll be able to get my hands on the 9070XT tomorrow.

Stock levels are reportedly very high (greater than all 50 series cards combined), so there may be a good chance of getting one if you're early. They go on sale at 9am EST, so check all of the major sites (Newegg, Amazon, Best Buy, etc.) at that time, if you can.

Assuming availability, here's a spreadsheet to help with choosing a model:

I just pasted a link to Google Sheets and the board automatically rendered the whole spreadsheet. Neat.

How do you like the monitor? It's on my wish list but the price is a bit steep at the moment and I have a 3 monitor setup right now so I'm not sure how I'd like the single monitor. Do you just use it as one large screen or do you set up zones?

So much for the high stock levels. All of the MSRP models sold out within a couple of minutes at NewEgg and BestBuy. Twice, I was able to add a card to my cart and start checkout at Newegg, only to be told that it was now out of stock.

Amazon, instead of making all models available at the launch time, has been adding listings very slowly, like one or two every 20 minutes. No MSRP models have been listed yet, so maybe there's still a chance of getting one today. :dunno:
