Near 100% that MSL will at least try that first.Newhook - Dach - Laine and see if Laine’s skill injection will help the other two

A RETURN ON A PRIME MONDAY IS IN THE BOOKS
PP1 Caufield-Suzuki-SlafkovskyCaufield - Suzuki - Slaf
Laine - Dach - Newhook
Gallagher - Evans - Anderson
Armia - Dvo - Heineman/ RHP

Cc on PP2?Amazingly
The smart play would be to have both Dach and Caufield on PP2 when Laine returns
Steve is the man.
One of them would have to go. Newhook could center Laine and Dach.Slaf - Suzuki - Caufield
Laine - Dach - Newhook
Anderson - Evans - Gally
Heinemen - Dvorak - Armia
Pezz/Condotta/RHP
Yeah, Laine needs to get Dach's special treatment. Laine has actually accomplished things in this league.I’d keep Evans on the 2nd with Laine so he at least plays with a real center while he hopefully gets his legs, Caufield to the 1st and shove Dach down the line up as far as possible. I’d also give minutes to Heineman and Gally over Dach, so not sure where he fits.
Will be something to look forward to.
YesCc on PP2?
Whaaaaat???
Isn't it crazy that our PP2 is chalked full of throw ins? Newhook, Gally, Army, Andy.. incredible that we have these players locked into our team by way of brutal contract(s).It should be a big boost for us to have Laine in the lineup. Another skilled forward that can create issues for other teams to defend against. It'll probably take him some games to find his rhythm and get up to speed after the long absences.
I'm guessing he'll be starting on the 2nd PP with Hutson, Newhook, Gallagher, and one of Armia/Heineman/Anderson.
If he has value and teams come calling, trade him! At the end of the day, he is at best and I mean at really best a 3rd line center. Beck is to take that spot going forwardSo la Petite Laine will be back in time for the first cold weather?
As much as i hate to say this we should probably try Dvorak on the 2nd line again. Nothing against Evans but if we want to resign him it would be advised to not overuse him.
Caufield-Suzuki-Slaf
Laine-Dvorak-Dach

Armia-Newhook-Heineman
No man. No.Yes
Laine is a PP1 guy and has the pedigree
But he and Caufield need the same area of space on the PP
(Obviously they won't be taking CC off of PP1) but it feels like it would be smarter to stick Dach and CC on PP2 as a secondary overwhelming PP2 threat after the 1st unit (seeing as how they refuse to put Lane PP1, he would be a boon for Dach and CC facing 2nd PK units)
I don't think Laine would have the same impact on the 2nd PP unit
And as good as CC has been, hasn't reached the heights Laine has proven
So I cannot imagine or believe they stick Laine on PP2 at all
But like I said, they also aren't taking CC off of PP1 most likely
So now we're possibly creating the same problem we already have where ALL these righties on the PP is just not working together
The PP1 was 'only' really working with either a lefty Monahan or a lefty Newhook at the bumper
And a lefty Slaf along the right boards
The 3 righties of Suzuki, Caufield, Dach on PP1 has just not been working out at all
Dach is waaaaaay better suited to run the PP2
But I would like to give him a shooter there too when it comes time
And I'd like it to be Caufield is what I was trying to say
PP1 will probably be Suzuki, CC, Laine, Slaf, Matheson
But I have a bad feeling about it
The specialists opinions was 2-3 months before a return to play (they even checked with multiple specialists to be sure). He's not back on the line-up yet, just practicing in a non-contact jersey which is part of the rehab process.I don't quite understand how Laine is back after two months. Did he overrule medical staff opinion that he should get surgery? In which case, seems medical opinion was not great?
He's probably still 3-4 weeks away for sure. The specialists opinions was 2-3 months before a return to play (they even checked with multiple specialists to be sure). He's not back on the line-up yet, just practicing in a non-contact jersey which is part of the rehab process.
less than 2.He's probably still 3-4 weeks away for sure.
I think more like 2 weeks. That's about how long RHP practices in non-contact jersey before being reactivated and sent down to Laval for a reconditioning stint. He's probably still 3-4 weeks away for sure.
