Pare should have realized you can't take out a star player and not answer the bell for it, incidental or not.
Does Laine identify as a star or something? It was definitely incidental

I'd call him a star. But really besides the point.Does Laine identify as a star or something? It was definitely incidental
‘Star’ doing a lotta work herePare should have realized you can't take out a star player and not answer the bell for it, incidental or not.
Never heard of the leaf player before
Not even once
Pare stepped up, that's it, he doesn't lead with the knee. Laine needs to protect his own ass there. Instead he has his head down and makes a superwide base trying to stickhandle between two guys at the blueline.
It's why he's had injury issues and consistentecy issues his whole career.
I feel bad for him personally but idk if it's the leaf factor as to why people can't see the situation objectively, Laine just makes bad decisions too often
Looks like leading with a knee to me? It's the only thing that hit Laine's body.
I'd call him a star. But really besides the point.
And yet there was no penalty. Shocking.
We've seen that called time and time again.
Stationary. Leg extension. Pushing left knee outwards.
Textbook kneeing call.
Edit: Just to add, it was 100% NOT intentional. It was reactionary. Having said that, it doesn't negate anything I said above, or the fact that it should have been a 5.
He's never played an NHL game outside of preseason. So that's probably why.
I'm not sure where you're going with this star/no star thing. If it happened to Morgan Reilly you'd be ok with it?Not really. If this happened to Matthews and Reaves did that sure. If this happened to Jeff Finger?
He's overpaid by about the same amount as a real star, Matthews.‘Star’ doing a lotta work here

Yep. Re - read it. Stand by what I said.See the original comment
Rielly actually has positive trade value for oneYep. Re - read it. Stand by what I said.
Based on how much attention he receives, yes.Does Laine identify as a star or something? It was definitely incidental
2oa pickBased on how much attention he receives, yes.
Even if we say he hasn't played like one recently, the guy is constantly the focus of fan and media attention.2oa pick
traded for 3oa pick

Its just dumb right now to debate star/not a star. Certainly has played like a star in the past.
are you trying to say Laine isn't a notable NHLer?Neither player being talked about in this thread will have a notable NHL career.
