Injury Report: Patrick Kane - UPDATED 4/13/15: Medically cleared!!!

if we finish the season with 10 more Wins we should end up playing the Blues. Meaningles hockey left for us until the POs.

Kane injury is going to kickstart others. It has to. Good to see that a guy like Teräväinen Looks to take this Chance.

Don't get too cocky. I'll feel better when we have clinched a PO spot.

The real test for Teuvo will be when that third line goes up against a good offense. We know Shaw has been abysmal in the center position when facing real competition so maybe the combination of Shaw on the wing, playoff-like Bickell, and Teuvo's defensive game will be enough. But, I still think he's not checking material although that makes no difference if those guys can cycle in the other zone all night.

Kane is so unlucky when it comes to stats.

29 Goals last year through 69 injury.
27 Goals this year through 61 injury.
23 Goals in 47 games in the lockout shortened year.
27 Goalis in 73 games in 2010-11.

So now HFBoard mainboarders say Kane is only a 30 goal scorer once hahahaha.

Agreed. It's 2nd, 3rd, or 4th in the central. And of course, finishing with more points than ana is easily possible. 3rd in the division is almost definite.

The more I look at it, if Chicago can pick up a good Dman like Petry and address their shot suppression issues, the more I feel like the only teams the Blackhawks cannot beat in a 7-game series without Kane are the teams they would meet in the WCF or SCF.

Most specifically the LA Kings, but it would be tough to see them beating DET, TB or NYI without Kane either.

STL and NSH will be tough matchups regardless. But they can win those without Kane. LA is the problem. Their possession game is significantly better than the Blackhawks, so the Hawks need players like Kane could can create offense with very little time with the puck. Otherwise it's a pure possession battle that the Kings are almost certain to win over the course of a 7 game series.

Yeah, big time. If it ends up being 10, that is late Round 2.

I still think he plays in game 6 of round 2 against Nashville. I posted that once already.

I love the 2 players we added.

Why wouldn't the Hawks exaggerate the timeline. It may give other teams a reason to not make another deal since they feel Kane will be out for upcoming series.

No offense, but it's pretty dumb to assume there's any chance of the Hawks missing the playoffs.

Dumb perhaps, but I don't like assuming these things ... especially when I see the product on the ice since December. Superstition, as much as anything.

I do feel a lot better about this team with our 2 acquisitions.

Reminds me of the situation with Brian Campbell, not sure how similar the injuries are. He ended up coming back late 1st round, early 2nd I believe. Can't remember how many weeks he was out.

He was hurt March 15th, was back for the first round. The Hawks say 12 weeks for Kane but that's because they aren't the Bulls and aren't stupid...give the worst case scenario in public so if he's back after 8 weeks he looks like a hero

Bingo Bango. They set the expectation low.

Bowman's deadline behavior makes me more confident that Kane will be back early in the playoffs. You don't spend a 1st, 2nd, ++ on rentals for a team that won't have Kane till late May.
