I mean Chicago and Pitts are the closest thing to a dynasty as we've seen in the cap era. L.A. is close behind.

We probably have to lower "dynasty" standards considering the cap, and the amount of teams in the league.

probably top 3 in playoff points since 2010 as well..

He's been insane lately. Currently 2nd in scoring while his team is four points away from the last place in the league. Has anyone won the art ross while his team was dead last? That would be something

He is not generational. Not enough personal hardware for that.

Here are Kane's season by season points rankings. Does generational mean something different in Chicago?
2007/08 - T28
2008/09 - T39
2009/10 - 9
2010/11 - T15
2011/12 - T33
2012/13 - 5
2013/14 - T19
2014/15 - 29
2015/16 - 1
2016/17 - T2
2017/18 - T26
2018/19 - T2 (after tonight's 4 point game)

All these terms are basically participation ribbons at this point. Only Crosby and Ovechkin should be the only Hall of Fame forwards from their generation. They were the only true generational talents.

Really lowering the bar to include Kane as generational - he has a single season above 90 points. If we include Kane we need to go back and consider Sakic, Forsberg, Yzerman, Fedorov, St Louis, Selanne, etc all generational players.

Kane is generational. Changed the way the game is played.

no - he never.
I have no problem putting Kane as one of the top players of this generation, even ahead of Malkin at #3 (until he's eclipsed by McDavid) but he never changed the way the game is played.

The only players I think have really affected the way the game is played nowadays are
Bergeron - two-way centre, advanced stats - now everyone tries to become him or find a player like him
Gaudreau - smaller player that can go into traffic without fear of getting killed or slashed.
Bishop - just stand there
Ovechkin - sniper just wanders around on his off-wing to kill it on the power play.
