Seems to be getting better with age. He will add his 7th top 10 point finish and will likely be a Hart finalt. And with how little physical punishment he takes, and how little his game is based on athleticism, he could be a top tier producer for another 5+ years.

Can he become top 20 all time?

Top-20 ? No. Never.
Top-50 yes.

You mean top-20 player of all time ? Or top-20 pts producer of all time? Either case, I doubt it.

Came to this thread to express my love for Kane, and pure gratitude for having him in the league. Certainly the straw that stirs the drink for the team. Maybe Bowman should have kept his bro Panarin on the team, instead of catering to Toews with that ridiculous trade.

He has a very legitimate shot at retiring top 15 in all-time points and IMHO being the greatest Blackhawk of all time.

I'm rooting for him to finish up in the Joe Sakic, Steve Yzerman tier. The unique thing about Kane is he already has 3x Stanley Cups at age 32. Compare and contrast, Steve Yzerman didn't win his first till he was 32.
Kane will never have that late career, elite two-way phase, but he can make up for that with better offensive longevity. Another 2 couple of top 5 and top 10 points finishes would place him ahead of those two offensively, IMO.

Well, Sakic could be a better road map because he never really had a decline except his last year, and won cups a lot earlier than Yzerman.

Way too hard to compare eras. I'd say he could be top 5 of his generation. Somewhere below Crosby, but above Ovechkin.
OV is definitely above Kane all-time and will likely finish up his career top 10-20 all time on most reputable lists. On the other hand, I'd say Kane's undoubtably a top 5 player of his generation and could end up a top 50 player of all time.

He has the excellent playoff pedigree to help him.

Since he entered the league
RS leader
Ovechkin: 1,100 (1.09 PPG)
Crosby: 1,067 (1.26 ppg)
Kane: 1,063 (1.06 ppg)
Malkin: 1,013 (1.18 ppg)
Backstrom: 957 (0.97 ppg)
....
Stamkos: 858 (1.04 ppg)

Playoff leader
Crosby: 184
Malkin: 165
Kane: 132
Ovechkin: 131
Toews: 119

With Stamkos injury Kane the clear number 4 at worst most dynamic offensive force of is era-generation behind the big 3.

Kane's prime basically began very shortly before his 3rd Stanley Cup.

I could see him squeaking in to top 20 points. I think you could make the argument for top 20 all-time but we have to see where he gets to before his career ends. I think he still has a few very solid seasons left in him.

You may want to do some reading up on your team's history. Bobby Hull, Stan Mikita, Pierre Pilote and Glenn Hall exist, afterall.

Kane should finish with more personal and team success.

Nit saying he a better player than Hull but it would be hard to make a case against him if he keeps going.

Imagine he retires with 1500 points, all time leading scorer, an mvp an art ross a Conn Smythe

Even doubling his trophy case won't help him to pass Ovechkin. Crosby is reachable in that scenario.

More personal success than Hull's two Harts/three Art Ross trophies or Mikita's two Harts/four Art Ross trophies? Bobby Hull is in the discussion for the 5th best player of all time, alongside Beliveau, Crosby, Richard, Harvey, etc. Kane isn't in that conversation. I don't even think he's in the Mikita realm, who himself is a top 20-25 player of all time. Hall is a top 5 goaltender of all time too, so he's probably ahead of Kane, as well.

I'm no trying to take anything away from Kane. I just think you're underestimating how good those past Blackhawks were.
