Why do people say things like this? Bergeron's wrist shot is mediocre, and I could go on. In terms of natural puck skill, he is visibly less talented than Krejci and Spooner. IMO, he's a second line talent with elite work ethic and hockey IQ.

Spooner?

Spooner?

Any credibility just went to deer island.

Spooner .

What does the World Cup team have to do with anything I said? And if "most fans" think Bergeron has as much natural puck skill as Krejci or Spooner they are dead wrong.

2nd line talent who played on a dominating 1st line on a team full of 1st line talent? I'm not sure you are using the word "talent" the way you should be. :biglaugh:

But don't worry, you're still edgy. I can see the pensive look from here.

I'll never get back the time I spent reading this post. This makes me sad.

LOL Taro.

I used to think Bergeron got too much hype in his early days. And then I actually became more knowledgeable on the intricacies of the game and started paying attention.

"Natural puck skill" is good for highlights. Similar to "best dangler" or "smoothest hands." Doesn't really matter that much, unless you're looking to make a highlight reel IMO.

Bergeron certainly doesn't have the best wrister/snapper,although it's not bad by any means. Of the top 50 goal scorers since 2011/12 (when Bergeron REALLY started to come into his own as an overall player), he ranks near the bottom for shooting %. Again, you have to note that this is among the 50 players with the most total goals since 2011/12, also it doesn't account for different strengths and shot distances.

I'd say the rest of his shot arsenal is great though. His one-timer is fantastic, especially on the PP, and his ability to get tipped shots on net is among the best in the league.

Big time agree on this.

Just to put things in perspective about how much of an important part of the Bruins he is, Bergeron for the franchise, all time is:
... 5th in games played (899)... 10th in goals scored (259. That's five goals away from 8th)... 7th in assists (412)... 8th in points (671. Three away from 7th)... 7th in PP goals (77. Two away from 6th)... 5th in game winning goals (53. Three away from 4th)... 4th in shots (2618).

I didn't realize all of the above.
I hate the word "amazing" but in this case, and this case only I will have to say he is AMAZING!

****ing goosebumps. I suddenly feel 5x more confident about this playoff series. It's crazy how tough hockey players are... and it's even crazier how guys like Bergy make even the toughest players look like total crybabies.

What a gem we have in him. Future captain, future name in the rafters, future hall of famer... Favorite player of all time, favorite athlete of all time. I doubt it'll ever change.

Yes absolutely.

Some dumb ****ing Hawks fan on the main board wrote that Bergeron has no playoff resume to speak of. I guess he missed 2013 when Bergeron was the best in the league until the injury.

One thing I've learned in life is to stay away from crazy people!:amazed:

First time I saw this kid it was love at first site.

I came back from training camp gushing about him and most here thought Id lost my marbles.

I vaguely remember this...I did think that you were a little umm, over doing it but now I'd say that you're a great talent/human evaluator!:handclap:

Regarding Taro's posts:
I'll never get back the time I spent reading this post. This makes me sad.

Taro if you're reading this realize that it's important to get out of your moms basement, breath the air, take a walk and get a life!
