  • Congrats to our latest Sportsbook winners - GOLD MEDAL kihei, SILVER MEDAL fish7 and BRONZE MEDAL Sammy Kat - new tournament begins today 6/15
Who you think it will be and who are the candidates you would interview ?

Here is my list:

Sylvain Favreau
Benoît Desrosiers
Serge Aubin
Stephane Julien
Paul Byron/Alex Burrows

But I would be surprise if Favreau is the one name from what I heard

What changed compared to last time? Wasn't he discussed in the last cycle?

I did make that caveat — could have been an organizational decision, we’ll never know. The fact is Vincent did give much more time to career minor leaguers in the top 6, put them on PP1 and deployed Florian on a 4th line with the team’s worst players all season long.

No one is asking Laval’s GM why this happened when Florian is someone the org appears to envision in the big club’s bottom 6 in the near future. It’s a legitimate question, it seems to me.
I have my theory about that. MSL and Hughes don't want bro X taking too much space in Habs team. Yes they can bring that physical presence and help the team to win games, eventually. But then, all the work MSL is trying to imply will be destroyed by 2 big freaks (excuse the word) who will drop gloves and make the game turn into a circus. MSL is tryng to teach the players to score goals and respond with work ethic in all situations, including being physicly abused and bullying/intimidation. He allows only Dunkey Anderson to respond with his fists. MSL can't stand when Arber X fight and all the crowd behind him. I feels he hates this a lot.

Hughes will eventually bring experienced Ds and forwards who can have a physical presence but they will act differently that Arber X. I think at some point Arber will be traded and Florian graduate with the big team with serious warnings on how he behave on the ice. No circus, no distraction, everything under control.

Back to Pascal Vincent, he's just a "pawn" in this.

As I told you, that's just my theory.

I said it last year and it's simply a fact that Vinny had one foot out the door looking for NHL job.

As for development, piss poor. His brilliance was to let player play like a wolf pack and try 50s reward and punishment Pavlovian "techniques".

Rein and Eng is still a question mark. No forward graduating to the big club. LX, Beck and Davidson basically still AHLers.

Good riddance. Get a real development coach to restock as we need, not some yahoo who laments how he's stuck in the AHL and the need to win to prove his coaching abilities.
You need to have the horses to develop. All the best young players are already with the Habs. Reinbacher was injured most of the last 3 seasons. He just needs to play more. Beck, Davidson, Mesar are just very ordinary players.

That’s an interesting theory. I was under the impression that offence can’t be taught.

Whatever, let’s look forward to the next Laval head coach.

They will keep one: Florian. The guy can play center or wing. Big, gritty. Can do PK as well…. Score goals too…. and drop them, if needed. Arber is just a bad d-man who cannot even kill penalties properly.

We'll see with another team if Arber is that a bad d-man. I think Flo X will stay and start soon playing in a 4th line nhl with the Habs.
