Bowling Alley
We aren’t a better team at all.
We have far worse goaltending, our depth is arguably worse too.
Our 2022 team would have crushed Vancouver
Wrong. Outside of the goaltender, we are better at every position. And a better coach.

For example, the 2022 Oilers would not have held Vancouver to 6 shots through 40 mins in game 7 or whatever it was.

Oilers will surprise the pundits and win in 7.

Lower bowl prices Edmonton and Dallas, Edmonton is cheaper once you factor in exchange. Upper nosebleeds might be a lot cheaper in Dallas. Edmonton are expensive I agree. Well its expensive either way when its 750 a pop for tickets in lower bowl as well.

Either way it's expensive to watch playoff hockey live because of the prices people can get on the secondary market. Dont blame the Oilers. It's supply and demand and the Ticketmaster algorithm that maximizes profit for venues, sports teams and artists alike.

This was factoring in exchange. You can sit in lower bowl, 10-15 rows up in Dallas for $350 USD plus around $25 USD in fees. Edmonton $808 CAD all in for equivalent tickets. They're like..... 50-60% more expensive.

Sure, you'll pay $750 CAD a pop to sit center ice in Dallas (hardly). Those same Oiler tickets are $1000+.

Edit: Correction, they're $1300 for center ice tickets in Edmonton. $525 USD for Dallas. Absolute lunacy.

Stand by my statement. We have the most expensive playoff tickets by a country mile of any team remaining in the playoffs.

That poster was totally wrong and way out to lunch for the past 2 rounds.

No use considering their opinion as valid.

Pathetic.

"Oh well, he plays with McDavid and gets points on the power play so doesn't count. Also sucks defensively!"

Meanwhile:

"BARKOV IS SOOOOOO UNDERRATED!"

Barkov is "underrated" to the point now where he's getting overrated because media/pundits go out of the way to pump him up to prove to everyone that they do in fact know what they're talking about by virtue of not underrating him.

The center ice Oiler tickets must be resale prices because they aren’t STH prices. You can’t compare resale prices to team set prices.

Ranger tickets must be higher than here too. Prices all depend on the market. We’re a hockey market.

Anyway as I said blame TM and that demand is insanely high in Edmonton. Edmonton will be a sell out and that tells you the market today supports the pricing model for the market - today. If it were a “rip-off” the building would be empty.

I’m on several collector forums for various things and it’s the same there, people bitch and moan about prices all the time yet the items still sell and sell fast at ever higher prices.

I am not comparing resale prices. These are legit face value tickets for the Oil. There is a reason 25% of the building is unsold right now, and I can almost guarantee the building will not sell out. It hasn't for most of the playoffs. There are tickets available (standard, not resale) at game time almost every game.

The Oilers are net beneficiaries of this regardless, don't get me wrong. They jack tickets up 20% and they sell 80% of them at that premium, they don't give a crap if the remaining sit empty. But this organization just continues to milk its fans over and over and over.

Standard ticket, club seating, center ice, $1350 dollars in Edmonton. Club seating center ice in Dallas, $525 USD.

Highway robbery.

Yup! The Oilers poured on the offense but they had to. The biggest improvement has been defense and shot blocking. McDavid is not 100% but the Oilers are playing as a team now and it's not just the dynamic duo....

Building will be sold out. I didn’t see a single vacant seat at the last round. I would be surprised to see a single vacant seat this round.

I stand corrected on the Club seats - they are more in Edmonton as you’ve shown. But I was going off STH prices which are way cheaper for those exact seats than what is listed on TM. I have Loge and I pay way less for mine than that and I have maybe two of the best seats in the building.

Either way we’re a mad hockey market and will pay more because Zadarov said there’s nothing else to do here.

If they are overreaching with price it’ll show with empty seats.

A few strategically placed Bouch bombs to Tanev’s ankles in game one could sure help our chances. Their depth on D is extremely questionable if they lose anyone in the top four.
