If it does end up being Fletcher (certainly seems that way), my only real issue with him is the expansion draft. He could've done better IMO and has me a little worried as to what will happen next time. It does seem like he protected the true asset in Dumba, but he gave up a lot to do so. The Minnesota defense had a similar feel to the Flyers at this next draft IMO.

FWIW Alex Tuch hadn't really done much from a prospect standpoint, so it likely took an internal decision on talent and potential to make him available. The full story could be that he was just under a lot of pressure to turn the current team into a cup winner. They need to keep this young core together now. Can't lose that in the name of keeping JVR or Simmonds around.

I will take that bet. I'm boycotting the game Sunday if he is still coach, so I hope hes fired. Ron was an imbecile, can't believe the new guys will be so stupid.

And can't wait for the melt downs here

There could be a scenario in February or March if the team is going down the tubes that they'll fire Hakstol.

But there intentions are keeping him for the remainder of the season.

The narrative has to be that Hextall was a terrible GM and everything he did was poison to everyone around him, including Hakstol.
