I guess I should have realized it when it was listed as an event, but Olympic surfing is taking place pretty far away from Paris.

I didn't pay attention enough, but near the end the guy says something like hitting the ball really far isn't good. Is there a reason for that? If it goes over a fence are you penalized?
I have no idea. I've watched that video about 4-5 times and still don't understand most of it.

I totally need to watch that
But also this. I could totally see myself watching a game of that live, drunk out of my mind, not understanding a thing, and having the time of my f***ing life.

Men's ITT cycling should be exciting today... maybe 6-7 guys who could win and the weather sucking makes it more unpredictable.

Not so often go into a cycling TT, or tbh any other individual sport at the Olympics that mainly measures speed, and have more than 3-4 people with a shot at gold.

2021: 1:01 to 2nd, 1:04 to 3rd
2016: 0:47 to 2nd, 1:02 to 3rd
2012: 0:42 to 2nd, 1:08 to 3rd
2008: 0:33 to 2nd, 1:10 to 3rd

Should be the closest one since 2004

Americans have now accounted for like half the crashes in this womens ITT... Knibb with ~3-4 crashes and now Dygert with one.

Annnd later on pretty sure Magnus Sheffield will crash ahaha. Good odds for that.

But then again Americans do, stereotypically, loooove tarmac aha.
