I guess he's saying that teams in the cap era can't stay contenders/elite forever, which is breaking news to everyone else. He also seems to be saying that the team he roots for (whichever that may be) has always been and always will be elite and relevant and great.

Judging from the fact that he's had his jimmies severely rustled by this thread, it's safe to wager he roots for a team that was founded, within his lifetime (or maybe not, if he's under 20 or so), where it's 75 degrees in January.

Love other team's fans reactions. It's the same and predictable every single time. Player A should be able to punch Chara, Lucic, McQuaid, whoever first and then expect no response. But when a Bruin punches back or, god forbid, assumes you want a fight when you start the **** and then follows through with it, everyone complains and calls the Bruins goons. Keep trying it, it always ends up the same way.

boston fans like tonights game I am red wing and tampa fan and I liked it loved that pacman stood up for himself maybe should avoid giants though cause to me is pretty dammed funny. And to me pacquette cross checked the dinosaur before getting knocked out lol which he deserved for using the stick to the face others might see it different but had no real problems with chara's play or actions tonight. I missed the brown thing was playing poker online so didnt catch that but am happy a guy like brown or tyler johnson who missed this game or pacquette will attempt retribution is something we lack. We dont need enforcer but as long as the kids stick up for themselves and each other I personally think we will be fine.

Hopefully we got some cheap shot guys if ever needed slash with stick whatever lol like some old school wingers anyway I laughed a bit during the paquette chara exchanges but guess I just view things differently than most.

I dont see how paquette was dumb as some of you expressed is a roll he fills on this team and hes done a good job of it so far this year he just bit off more than can chew which if anyone has fought a lot its happened to all of us sooner or later

And that has no relevance or bearing to this discussion whatsoever, so no idea why you brought it up. Making the playoffs ~50% of the time is supposed to be terrible or something? Sounds pretty normal to me. You're the one sounding entitled here, taking for granted a future where your team goes on an Islanders-like SC-winning streak while the Bruins fold or something.

I actually like the Lightning, and find it funny that the sport team your city has that's the most relevant/least irrelevant is the ice hockey team. Don't envy the weather, though.

Yes, watching that over again Chara really had a chance/excuse to hammer him once or twice in the head/jaw but he held up even though it wouldn't have changed the double minors. Contrary to common belief, Chara is pretty careful about not abusing his strength advantage over others.

Paquette's not the sharpest knife in the drawer - does a lot of dumb ****. Frankly, I think he sold the first shot by Chara quite a bit, which I'm not really happy about, but he's a hot headed young guy and the Bruins got under his skin.
