Some real stupidity involved when you keep taking shots at Chara. Must have a couple screws loose upstairs. He got off lucky too.

Obviously every year was hyperbole but they missed 5 out of 10 years during the span before they started to become elite for the last 5 years.

As if some people have never played a damn sport before. Things get heated, people get mad. Doesn't have anything to do with class.
At least Paqette wasn't a fugazi(fake) like Brendan Smith lol, I honestly give him 'props'as the young crowd would say, although I do wish the refs didn't break up the possible scrap between the two at the end.

This should have been a Bruins power play---2 minutes each for roughing and Cedric Pacquette with the extra minor for the dive. As for Pacquette...maybe next time, he won't bite off more than he can chew.

Maybe your phenomenons shouldn't try to take liberties with Chara. The guy would probably be able to nuke their ass even with both hands tied behind his back.
Yes, Chara ageing is a problem for us. Especially due to the fact that we just don't do this tanking thing like you guys do every few years. But with Hamilton, I think we will be just fine.
We are an original six team. We have been in the playoffs and won a decent amount of cups. I expect that to continue. We are here to stay.

To conclude, I believe Paquette is one lucky individual. He tried his best to be destroyed tonight, if he didn't smarten up and run for the hills every time Chara meant business (the first time he dropped like he had been shot... The second time he was saved by the ref...), things would have been much worse. I hope for him that he won't try anything as moronic as he did tonight.

I guess he's saying that teams in the cap era can't stay contenders/elite forever, which is breaking news to everyone else. He also seems to be saying that the team he roots for (whichever that may be) has always been and always will be elite and relevant and great.
Judging from the fact that he's had his jimmies severely rustled by this thread, it's safe to wager he roots for a team that was founded, within his lifetime (or maybe not, if he's under 20 or so), where it's 75 degrees in January.

Thought the linesman had Victor Hedman's number at first.
So many things wrong with this post.
Marchand basically warns him to make himself a healthy scratch because HE WILL be held accountable for wasting a top 10 defenseman's time in this manner and then running and hiding, or diving (literally) for safety.
Another guy who needs to watch himself is Brown.
No-name players need to stick to themselves, not go after Chara's and Krejci's of the NHL. Otherwise they won't be in the league for very long.
By the way, calling OUR team a joke from top to bottom is hilarious. Nice one.
