Paquette punches Chara, Chara proceeds to one punch him.

I'm a TB fan and I still fail to see how Chara's punch was any sort of cheap shot. If Paquette didn't realize there was a legit chance he was going to get punched in the face in that sequence, then he's not the sharpest tool in the shed. Honestly, I think he knew what was coming, he just didn't realize what it was going to feel like. I even like that Paquette TRIED to stand his ground, and every time the situation escalated, he was up for it. He showed a lot of guts. He was just way, way out of his league. But that's not Chara's fault.

All in all I think we're making a huge deal out of nothing in this game. If there's anything I'm upset about it's this is the second time in about a week the Bolts saw Bishop get run over and just stood around like pacifists. That's just asking for a disaster.

When Marchand was thrown into Bishop by two TB players and you got a PP out of it?

Otherwise your line of thinking is dead on. Chara, Krejci, and Lucic didn't do anything wrong this game I'd say.

He got bumped, sure. But I have a hard time believing Marchand didn't launch himself. And I don't blame him. THat's what players do in that spot. But if a TB player hit Rask like that, regardless of circumstance, there would be facewashes involved at least. And I have no problem with that either. I have a problem when my team doesn't try to set a precedent when a player cannonballs into our goalie. I don't care whose fault it is.

Pacquette is an idiot but what's Bruins fans issue with Brown? He didn't "jump" Krejci, they both were going at it a bit and he cross checked him in the face (his mouth was bloodied for a reason and it wasn't from fists). Is he supposed to let that go and take it because an untouchable player did it? or is it because he's....never mind I won't go there.

Yeah, don't go there. :shakehead

Most people have no problem with Brown, except the fact that Krejci is a pillow soft euro that isn't usually dirty. But he did stick Brown in the face, so he should sack up. And he did (as he has before).

He declined McQuaid earlier in the game, but instigates a fight with Krejci, is it because... nevermind.

Why should he even have to fight after he laid a clean harmless check to him? Guess he was mad a 5'9 170 pound 'hack' caught him off guard.

Brown is a spot picker & I'm certain he'll be dealt with the next time the two teams meet.

Paquette doesn't have much talent so that was his attempt at relevance. Ala Max Laperierre before him, he will make a living goading Bruins into penalties. He obviously has no desire to mix it up. I was really hoping the linesmen let Chara tune him up a bit & teach him a lesson. Instead the league protects these weasels & let's them run wild (Matt Cooke is the shining example).

Marchands quotes per Amalie Benjamin:

"I don't know what that kid was thinking. You don't mess with Zee. ... "

"He must have forgot we play them three more times. Hopefully he'll be sent down by then for his sake."

Downright hilarious.

Yeah, it must be great to be able to hide behind Lucic and Chara and make comments like this. That little **** will get his. Just watch.

People said that for years when he played on the line. Now that he plays disciplined I think you'll be waiting a while. It's pretty much guaranteed that Marchand can sleep easy the night before our next game... Brown and Paquette, if they're even still in the NHL, likely won't get much sleep.

This is gold.

Brown lays a clean check vs McQuaid and I'm guessing got the better end of it since McQuaid got his panties in a bunch about it and wanted to fight. Because how DARE he do that. But Brown is a coward for not fighting for a clean hockey play. Makes sense. I guess.

Brown and Krecji are BOTH going at it in front of the net and Krejci cross checks him in the face which causes a mouth full of blood THEN Brown drops the gloves with him. But he was the one picking on innocent Krejci?

Goodness.

I'm sure they'll be shaking in their skates.

Love how Bruins fans are making the Tampa Bay Lightning out to be goons and pests. Here's a thought: maybe it's your team. This wasn't a problem all season until last night.

How will he "get his" exactly? He absolutely hides behind McQuaid and Chara all the time, why wouldnt he??? In fact, Paquette should take a page out of Marchands book lol. People have been wanting to give Marchand "his" for a while now, and fact is hes too good of a hockey player to put goons out against, and he always has one of Chara/McQuaid/Miller/Lucic to a lesser extent to protect him out there.

I have no issue with anything Paquette did, hell he got a PP for his team out of it! I really really hope he tries it again, because for some reason this Bruins team needs it to happen to play well (which doesnt bode well for them, obviously).

You know when people are *****ing about the Bruins they're playing well! :yo:

He is a spot picker because he refused to fight after a clean hit? Are you so far gone into the whole Bruin-tough-guy-rawr culture that you actually believe this?

ya, because your idea of a clean hit and the player getting hits idea of a clean hit are two different things.... and here's a hint, one of those ideas really doesn't matter much....

These should be nothing altercations. Even the Krejci tussle was weak. Chippy is good though. Need more of this.

Chara wasn't mad at the end there as much as he was annoyed. Angry Chara drops Pacquette and starts throwing wildly. He rarely snaps though. Don't know if it was intentional or not, but smart move by Tampa in their attempt to get the Bruins thinking about something else next time these teams meet. We've seen this group lose focus in the past. Every now and then it's a positive thing though. Hoping that's where we are March 12. Those games with nothing to lose and everything to gain are always great.

.....really

Haha the guy always looks like someone just stuck something in his but....Every time someone dare touch him he snaps.....

This guy doesn't watch the Bruins.

Yeh i watch them pretty often, are you going to tell me with a straight face that chara isn't the type off player that snaps when touched ?

cmon dude if can admit PK has a tendency to dive and embelish at least admit that Chara does not like to get touched.

He did it twice vs pacioretty, when he cross-checked emelin after his it on Lucic, cmon chara does not have the coolest blood when it comes to getting hit, cross checked....

Please define snap then for all us simple folk?

You know. Since he snaps 'every time some one dares touch him'?

I'm curious what I've been missing every game.....
