Paquette punches Chara, Chara proceeds to one punch him.

yaaa, sorry, dont think so.

30 seconds or less in a one goal game, i'm gonna say i highly doubt that that was what he was doing......

i'm also going to go out on a limb and guess that chara doesnt even know who paquette is, and could probably care less...

Watch the crosschecks, the trips in the corner, and then dumping Paquette in front of the net into a pile of Bruins. Chara knew who it was and what he was doing, which makes it even better. He was in position in front of the net -- it's not like he was hurting the Bruins at all. Had Paquette skated away like he should have, Chara wouldn't have followed. But he kept coming back for more.

After watching Chara for all these years, surely you can see when he gets that "Chara Smash" mode going on? There are times he is out there to stir the pot a bit. He knew he wasn't hurting the team. He also knew there was literally no downside to taking out this little kid. It would only help, and it did. I am sure we will see this Bruins team with it's swag back going forward. Partly from Pastrnak, and Claude's adjustments, and Charlie's comments... but also a lot because their Captain is back.

Prout on Lucic: vicious attack, unacceptable.
Chara on Paquette: he poked the bear. Good for him.

Really? Most Bruins fans said Lucic deserved it?...

Both are totally different though, so yeah, that's a dumb comparison.

Bruins hater's hailed Prout v. Lucic. Thought it was great.
Bruins hater's on Chara v. Paquette: Vicious attack.

See, I can do it too...

You do realize that there are public records of what actually happened and what was actually said to basically disprove your theory/statements above as totally wrong.

We wait with bated breath for you to show us these records. I wouldn't know where to look for that stuff - and now I don't have to! :D

It's nice when someone has irrefutable truths... :)

Hahaha, so true. As soon as Lucic got popped, the world celebrated... as soon as Chara popped Paquette there's an uproar.

Love it.

I can't wait until the Leafs become relevant so that they can have something else to talk about other than the Bruins...

Bye bye...

Even a year or two ago... just as the NHL goes soft, many fans of the softer teams are buying right into it and screaming the loudest to convince the NHL they have gotten us going in the right direction. :shakehead

Its not being soft... Its playing "classy". I want to strangle a bunny everytime I hear someo e say that word in public now

I think he would have done it to anyone in that situation.

board battle for the puck, and battling for position in front of the net.

its a one goal game with time expiring, he's not going to risk a penalty, the goalie being pulled, and a possible 6 on 4 in a one goal game for that scrub.

Has Paquette developed a well deserved reputation as one of the dirtiest, whiniest, sore losers in the game?

Are you new to hockey? Every single team's home commentators are outrageously biased, it isn't anything new. They are catering to the home audience. It's annoying, but caters to the casual fan that they are trying to draw in.

Jack Edwards SUCKS. Hope he gets fired this offseason. He is way better than Dale Arnold but they need a different guy doing it. Gosh and Beers are great.

Jack is the best! He is hilarious, and witty. Over the top? Yes, but he is a very good at the play by play.

Dangerously close to a butt-end to Chara's chin there.

Is anyone crying about that? No?

Forgot where I was. The tears taste so good :)

it seems really strange that you would drop 1966 as the cutoff year:
1959–60 Did not qualify
1960–61 Did not qualify
1961–62 Did not qualify
1962–63 Did not qualify
1963–64 Did not qualify
1964–65 Did not qualify
1965–66 Did not qualify
1966–67 Did not qualify

Why would you start your count at the second to last of an 8 year no playoff drought?

What happened in 1966 that changed the Bruins franchise forever?

His post-game interview and handshake line shenanigans beg to differ.

He didn't pull the whole Dale Weise "I'M TELLING ON YOU!" thing.

Regardless, it's just funny how the tune has changed. It's hilarious how bent out of shape people get about the Bruins, must mean they're playing some good hockey.

Nice dive.

Paquette sucks. I remember in the playoffs he wanted to show why Montreal should have drafted and proceeded to be an idiot and a terrible player.

I guess with Tampa filled with so many prospects that can easily out play him he's trying to prove he belongs in a new way that isn't working.

I cannot say how happy I am that HF has moved from the "What's wrong with Bruins" threads on to "The Bruins are bullies".

All is right with the world again.

May Chara continue to play with a nasty edge to him.
