Beyak was spouting playoff bullshit right along with him tonight. Do they not realize how frustrating it is to listen to that shit especially when the team lays an egg like they did tonight.

Nobody watching the game is stupid enough to believe this team has a shot at the playoffs and it is insulting for them to pretend otherwise.
Many on here have brought up how the fanbase feels "insulted" "angered" when we are "told" by the talking pieces around the team how rosy everything is going. This is a fanbase that would like it more if the mesage was - The Jets stink/stunk and need to be much better to make the playoffs next year. Then tout some Moose players or draft picks that may challenge for a roster spot. Suggest spots needed for improvement etc...?

We are a smart hockey market. Even the casual fan knows the team is not that entertaining and fans have the same chance of winning Lotto MAx tonight as the Jets making the playoffs. So get out and buy your tickets!

Team was completely outclassed.

We have a lot of work to do to even come close that caliber of team.

Juat keep playing the young guys.

More and more convinced you can't win anymore with a Lowry lead third line.

Continuing with the seniority based PP's. Really Lowry, you keep running your son out there even though he's awful offensively, Sanford has hands but his decision making is non-existent. Meanwhile we have Scech who hasn't played at all on the PP despite having some actual talent that would be useful on it.

Garbage coaching has been a staple hear for way too long.

Even the media has turned on this team, the only 2 left spouting the positive bullshit are Beyak and Sawyer and its really starting to make me despise them. I already found them annoying at the best of times but im starting to hope Beyak gets shipped off the old folks home and Saywer goes along to give him his sponge baths.

Tough schedule the rest of the way and could get ugly… hopefully it just reinforces the drastic changes that are needed. Plus, better first rounder! Heyooooo.

But seriously.. painful to watch.
Good, I want to see it get ugly. For several years these guys rode the back of an elite goalie and it finally caught up to them this year. I want to see some embarrassment for these guys, maybe then they show up next year ready for the season.

Glad that media is finally seeing the light. Have Edmonds, Kelly Moore and the CJOB crew started to see the warts of the team and organization? I though thet had a lifetime supply of KoolAid

So he would have been a bad captain if he refused to show up for the interview but he is also bad and a bad captain because the media didn't ask for him. It's like when the gf is intent on picking a fight... will complain if you didn't do the dishes, and if you did the dishes will complain about how you didn't do them the way she likes them done.

This is an example of starting off with a conclusion and then working backwards to make all "evidence" (old and new) fit that conclusion.

I'd just replace the girlfriend. :thumbu:

At least we know what the Jets players did when they left for Florida early, and it wasn't practising for a playoff push...

At least the Panthers are ready for the post season. It saddens me to think that the Jets (on paper) are talented enough to at least put in an effort, but when it comes right down to it, they seem lost...

Of course, coaching might have something to do with it...

(inspired by @sipowicz) Oh well, no sense worrying about it...

Maybe that's what the Jets need to do to win? :dunno: See you guys tomorrow night! We certainly are gluttons for punishment!

I dont listen to any of the Jets stuff on CJOB but I would doubt it, they are official team broadcast partners the same as Beyak and Sawyer on TSN.

I'm not going to make any definitive statements like that but I wouldn't be opposed to making symbolic changes like that.

I respect your opinion.

To me, it is more than a symbolic change.

He shouldn't have to be asked to be at the post game.

After a tough loss like this, he should be demanding to speak to the reporters.

That is leadership.

When Lowry was named replacement, we had like, what? Nearly two weeks off or something due to covid stuff, and we just practiced during that time? I kept thinking, "Good. Not often a replacement coach gets this amount of time to instill their own ideas and system". Almost like a mini camp mid-season to change it up. Boy was I wrong. It actually got even worse it feels like. I love this team but they are rarely if ever ready at the first whistle. Especially when they have a few days off, despite even when the other team doesn't. Don't think I'll ever know unless I'm sitting in that room. Oh well, onto to Tampa.
That’s because they love the hockey player lifestyle but hate to show up and put in a effort.

Kind of. I listened last week after the Detroit game and they were saying something was wrong, but they cautioned against making changes this offseason to coaching staff or leadership because they don’t want to ruffle any feathers (lol).

I don't disagree, it's just more that I think the captain should be entirely symbolic. The C shouldn't elevate a player in the eyes of the organization to have a louder voice than any individual on the team. Once you start using the voice of an individual to gauge the opinion of the collective I think you're putting yourself into a position where you're not actually getting an honest purview of the team.

Actually…?

I feel like we just need to pluck these feathers out so none can get ruffled anymore. 😂

So if Chevy gets canned why should we think Chipman will get the hire right?

Ehlers telling it like it is in the post game interview.

"Captain" Wheeler is a no show again.

Ehlers saying it like it is. Finally a player calls out systems ans accountability. Both things that have been nonexistent here for a couple of years now.
