In December through February it rarely rains in Florida.
It's been at least two-three weeks since it's really rained here.

If they start the game at 6-7pm, the sun won't be an issue for glare and the temps could be in the high 50's, Freedom units, depending on when a cold front comes through Miami.

Tampa/Orlando would of been better as IIRC there's like a 10-15 degree difference in the winter between Miami and Central Florida.

Just hope the Marlin owners get zero dollars out of this and somehow go bankrupt.

Didnt even need to guess what the responses were before clicking on the thread. "People still care about these outdoor games?" and the countless warm weather jokes despite the fact that theyve held a few outdoor games in warmer climates...predictable.

As for the game, its cool that the Panthers will finally participate in one especially since theyve finally started winning the past handful of seasons. I would have to imagine Tampa gets the call as their opponent?

Do people still care about these outdoor games? The gimmick has long since run its course.

I ised to love the Winter Classic/outdoor games until that year where we had like 6 total. It watered down the whole idea and the games didn't seem as meaningful since there were so many of them.

& no disrespect to fans of teams in warm climates, but it just isn't the same as doing it in a northern city.

Why not play in a local little league park? That stadium is quite large for 6 fans.
I won't be able to make it, so probably 5.

I sued to love the Winter Classic/outdoor games until hat year where we had like 8 total. It watered down the whole idea and didn't really make it unique/cool anymore.

To be fair, once it hits 67, we break out jackets.

Sad thing is, that beautiful stadium will be filled more times from the World Baseball Classic, and an outdoor NHL game, than anything the Marlins can muster.

Panthers were SO bad for so long, and have given the Marlins the perfect blueprint to build a winner in South Florida, but they are wayyyyy too cheap to follow it.
