No unless the game is before December or after MayAre they going to be playing in the middle of a hurricane? At least there is a retractable roof I guess.
40,000 people watching a hockey game. That defeats the purpose of an OUTDOOR game. If they have to close the roof, then what's the point?
To be fair. Weather apps are usually wrong anywaydo none of the BOG members have the weather app on their phones?
WTF is C? We use F here, which stands for FreedomUnits, like God intended
I mean, there's a very strong chance there's a traditional market tied to this game.Dear fans in traditional markets. You're not the only ones entitled to hockey.
I'm legit happy for Florida fans.
? 27 is plenty cold.

True, but we got the same reaction when Dallas got the Winter Classic.I mean, there's a very strong chance there's a traditional market tied to this game.

Wasn't really a traditional market when san jose and la went at in Levi's stadium.I mean, there's a very strong chance there's a traditional market tied to this game.
Chicago, Philly, Boston or the Rags? Who’s getting to play Florida with the stories rivalry between both teams.I mean, there's a very strong chance there's a traditional market tied to this game.
December through February is typically the dry season here. It hasn't rained here for weeks, and nothing significant since Hurricane Milton came through town 2 months ago, thank goodness. The biggest weather issue would be rain (which, in fairness, is a near daily occurrence for at least a bit in the afternoon in Miami).
Temperature shouldn't really be a problem.
As a Panthers fan, it's better when there's only one or two per year, it's in an actual winter location, and it's good teams (preferably with some degree of rivalry) playing each other. It’s better when it’s not the same 6 teams getting the games
Unless they are playing the game in July, rain isn’t a daily occurrence. Though there may be a scattering occurrence of a day or two of rain here or there (like anywhere else). Nah it'll be the Bruins for the recent playoffsIt's the NHL so you'll take your game with the Blackhawks and like it.
As mentioned before there is a roof on the stadium that opens and closes, so they can build the ice under controlled conditions and just open it for the game. The sun sets behind the main seating for the stadium so sun glare shouldn’t be an issue. They can also partially close the roof to block a sun glare from hitting the ice.The entire reason for having an outdoor game is to play out in the cold and (hopefully) snow.
The worst scenario is play a game with the awful stadium sight lines, with sunny weather that causes glare, and temperatures that ruin the ice. Having all that plus being inside is just the dumbest thing imaginable.
If it's a Stadium Series game it'll likely be at night anyway I'd guess (think most of those have been) so the sun shouldn't be an issue. As mentioned before there is a roof on the stadium that opens and closes, so they can build the ice under controlled conditions and just open it for the game. Having went the Devils game at MetLife last year, going to these things are a fun event even if sight lines aren’t great.
