I think that it's a huge advantage that Florida has three lines that can score goals. It's not enough to take Barkov's and Bennett's lines out when you have a third line like this. Luostarinen is amazing in forechecking.

All in all, this series was a big positive surprise for me. I thought that after those injuries Florida would need time to settle for the playoff intensity and Tampa could win a couple of games in the beginning but it was the other way around. Florida was ready to battle hard and it was the better team that won.

He was always capable of performances like this, the Panthers just don't rely on him to score. They want him to be defense-first and to be a strong forechecking presence. And Luo is a good soldier who will always sacrifice individual stats for the good of the team. A typical Finn.

If this line stays hot though, we are repeating this year, even with Chucky relegated to a pp specialist.

ESPN betting has the Canes as the favorites, followed by the Panthers. I can’t see any team ahead of us as favorites.

There's going to plenty of cap space after Zito lets Ekbad walk into free agency. But the bigger issue is about available roster spots for Marchand. If Samo takes another step by solidifying his spot on the top6 then who's going to be traded and for who if it's a one-for-one trade? ERod is still useful but expensive if he finds himself on the 4th line. Boqvist has been a disappointment as soon as the ink dried on his contract extension.
