Since the Canuck trade imminent and everyone knew nothing about the recent trades. I think this a educated guess rather than a rumor

Don't want to be that guy, but after yesterday, do you trust that group to go out and get Byram?

Like, there's this thing in Calgary, where I don't trust this franchise to ever make the 'right' move. Sometimes they go ahead are surprise me, but most of the time I hold my breath.
Not really but there are certain players I know Drury would be enticed by and I think he would see Byram as a possible McDonagh like project to build up for the team moving forward.

Rangers lack a #2 LHD behind Miller and that's a priority. Just really depends on how realistic the ask is from Buffalo because I'm sure ideally, they still don't want to deal with NYR after the Jack Eichel drama and would probably ask more from Drury than other teams.

The only thing I have heard with Buffalo is earlier today where it was said Nashville is trying hard to make a deal with them.

Got the plus on the wrong side there fella.
You really think? I’m wrong a lot it’s a thing.

I’m not biased on either side and am convinced Petterson is notably better.

I wouldn’t say it’s even that close.

Tage is absolutely elite but Petey has more tools imo. Tage also kinda requires a narrow set of wingers since he plays hero puck a whole lot whereas I feel petterson could adapt his game a number of ways. If I were buying centers I’d expect to pay more for Petterson.

The + is on the right side.

TT is 27 with three seasons over 50 points and a career -50 , 278 points in 399 games

EP is 26 with five seasons over 50 points and a career +53 , ppg player over 438 games

Tage is good, but he’s not EP level good.

Consider the contracts and it becomes crystal clear.

They both produce similarly but what do you get for the money?

And who has a better support system to produce, Tage or Elias?

Petey is better now, but he's as good as he'll ever get right now. His peak is already passed. And there are some.... motivation concerns with him. If he's not happy in a Winning Environment in Van, what happens when he's on the Sabres.

Tage is just scratching the surface of what he can be. And with his size and skill, the potential is higher. He's a unique package. Unicorn territory.
