I don't think he did. There was just way too many rumblings in and around Nashville about Trotz doing everything he could to make a deal. Even had a few that they had a deal basically done the day before but Buffalo came back and wanted another player added. Sounds like that may be where something may have fell apart that next day.

My guess is that and maybe one or two others is what he was hearing about. Obviously nothing came from it, but we rarely hear about anything in Nashville and even the fans who have people on the inside said something was going on, and that is pretty rare for that to get out before its basically done.

Buffalo needs to be targeting NHL players not prospects/picks in any deal involving their roster.

Preds, probably have to realize that they are not as good as they thought they were or would be.

But, unsure the players that could help Buffalo would want to waive trade protection to go there.

Doesn't seem like a match between the 2 clubs.

About what? I hate Pagnotta and think he's a hack, but he ever actually said anything was going to happen, it's the posters here that took nothing and blew it out of proportion.
