Rumor: Pagnotta - Trade happening in Buffalo?

  • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. The admin team will continue to work on existing issues, templates and upgrade all necessary available addons to minimize impact of this new version. Click Here for Updates
About what? I hate Pagnotta and think he's a hack, but he ever actually said anything was going to happen, it's the posters here that took nothing and blew it out of proportion.
Plus Elliotte Friedman confirmed yesterday they were grinding away but ultimately didn’t get a deal done before midnight.

Can’t see why Sabres would give up on Cozens if any of this is true….Young right shot centers don’t grow on trees….
Depends on what we're return in trade. He's in his second season of fall play, under two different coaches. He's not a good center, doesn't play defense, is a bad at PP, and is inconsistent (though that's true of all our young players). Trading him cheap or for futures doesn't make sense, but some other deal might be of interest.

You're right...Young, and #1 center might be the toughest position to acquire..I'd say.#1 D would be second and arguably #2 C is third...That being said, Buffalo has a way of parting with them - ROR, Eichel, Mittelstadt....

You just got Pagnutted on

Mittelstadt is absolutely not a 1C. Outside of his hot start, tbf, he’s been struggling to even do what a 2C should for Colorado. There are plenty of real reasons to carp about Buffalo’s management without making things up.

my thought is i wouldnt doubt yzerman might make a big offer for power because he needs a left shot dman and power fits detroit u of m crew . he could play with seider , and edvinsson with pellikka . only player on ice this game that buff would be interested in was kasper . so detroit would have to add several peices , and has the prospect depth to do so

I don't see Buffalo trading roster players for prospects. Kasper is great but he doesn't move the needle when it comes to Power.

Trading cozens with his value at an all time low is a really bad idea. Not to mention the idea that Adams is clearly backed into a corner

Question is it worth using your younger forwards to add to his? Or using him as a piece of a package?
I think you do one of two things with Cozens: (1) pair him with either Byram or Power to use to get a guy like Pettersson, or (2) flip in one-for-one for a similarly aged, similar potential player who might be struggling (like McTavish).

My issue is I just don't think he's that smart of a hockey player. If you can trade his skillset for a guy who may, say, lack size but picks up for it in smarts, you do that IMO.
