Habs have a lot to work with. Our pool is deeper than the Sens. Go look at our draft power since 2018. It's almost historic. People can laugh at that all they want... it's some really high amount of picks for more than just 3 draft years.

I do understand where you are coming from though. But there is a 7/8 year age spread between Suzuki and Demidov and I feel that's where we will focus on. We will need to have some vets mixed in because Gallagher, Anderson, Savard, Armia days are numbered. Andersson fills a RD hole and a improvement over Matheson. I will admit... I'm very surprised the Hutson/Matheson pairing is looking very good (so far)
We have two needs (RD and C) and they are greedy needs. Most Habs fans will say the RD is a bigger need than C and that is fair. Hage looks good but he is years away. We got time to see how good Dach is and we might try Demidov at center.
Habs can trade our 1st, Newhook, and Kapanen and still be left with...
* Flames/Panthers 1st
* Two 2nd round picks
* Demidov
* Hage
* Reinbacher
* Beck
* Roy
* Fowler
* Mailloux
* Engstrom
These are only the top end of our pool. I'm not even listing the ones who have an outside shot at making it.
