For any history buffs looking for historical precedent, the last time a rebuilding Attack team fought a juggernaut Knights squad was 2015-2016. Now the Knights were a 3rd seed and we were 6th as Erie was an equal to London that year but they were still a 51 win squad that went 16-2 in the playoffs on route to a Mem Cup.
Their only two losses were to the Attack in that first round. The Attack were outmatched and outgunned, but we had a very good 18 year old goalie and a bunch of young up and comers (including a breakout 16 year-old star), and Ryan McGill coached the hell out of that team in that series.
I'd like to see, tactically, if this Attack team can make some adjustments and make life tough the way that 2016 team made life miserable for Marner and Tkachuk.
