Last night was... rough. Felt like they had ten okay-ish minutes, and then as soon as they got close Brantford blew it right back open. The first period was particularly awful where the team could barely complete a pass. Brantford had 2.5 lines most of the night, at one point down to 12 skaters, but they always had more energy, more compete, and made the Bayshore ice feel small all night.
If there's any way to convert Dec's Affiliate card into an A card, almost any roster move to make that fit looks wise - hard not to dream about better days where he's setting up Mbuyi goals in wins down the road.
As for the underperforming players, part of that is on the coaching staff continuing to roll out struggling vets making the same mistakes, taking the same penalties...
As harsh as it is, I think the team could justify outright cutting some of the players at this point. But I have a feeling the squad is going to look quite a bit different after the deadline, so some of that movement likely plays out anyway.
If the rumoured K. Smith deal is true, there would be enough picks for the Attack to actually turn around a target a roster player to help down the road.
