The Attack will have 5 healthy scratches tonight .

Here's a thought :
Tonight's blueline could be:
Konnor Smith- David Bedkowski
Alec Leonard - James Petrovsky
Brayden Rogers- Gabe Smith/Elliott Arnett/ Max Bleicher
Do you think Konnor Smith plays tonight? If that rumored trade is a done deal I'd imagine he sits. That top 4 you listed would be an exceptional blueline lol. I might consider that the strongest top 4 we've seen in Owen Sound in quite some time. Would be fun to see it, even if it was just for one night.

Be interesting to see where they slot Dec for his two games. Two games to showcase him a bit and see what he has. I'd try him in the top 6 and see if he can help generate any offense.

He was last man standing in the shootout at yesterday's practice.
Got some slick hands

When do the trades begin? Need to move some guys and get the kids out of the stands. Nice to see Dec have a good first game, he outplayed a lot of the regular guys. A few of the forwards are just not progressing.

I believe midnight tonight is the answer.

WJC players cannot be moved until after its wrapped.

Whispers that 3 teams were duking it out for 6.

Id be surprised if we see him play (here) Monday .
Can't disagree with the rest of your sentiments.

I wonder exactly how you move an underperforming player ?

Last night was... rough. Felt like they had ten okay-ish minutes, and then as soon as they got close Brantford blew it right back open. The first period was particularly awful where the team could barely complete a pass. Brantford had 2.5 lines most of the night, at one point down to 12 skaters, but they always had more energy, more compete, and made the Bayshore ice feel small all night.

If there's any way to convert Dec's Affiliate card into an A card, almost any roster move to make that fit looks wise - hard not to dream about better days where he's setting up Mbuyi goals in wins down the road.

As for the underperforming players, part of that is on the coaching staff continuing to roll out struggling vets making the same mistakes, taking the same penalties...

As harsh as it is, I think the team could justify outright cutting some of the players at this point. But I have a feeling the squad is going to look quite a bit different after the deadline, so some of that movement likely plays out anyway.

If the rumoured K. Smith deal is true, there would be enough picks for the Attack to actually turn around a target a roster player to help down the road.

Two questions. 1st do you think #7 Noah Robert’s will get any disciplinary action from league for forcefully getting away from one linesman then pushing second out of the way to fight petrovski? And 2nd what us rumoured deal for K smith?

Don't really have a stance on the Roberts situation cause Brantford's not on our radar after this, but a fairly reliable poster on here suggested the Smith deal was done last week... given he was scratched again last night, I wouldn't be surprised of Smith sits until a deal is completed.

No doubt he is playing in front of a very strong Team Canada defense BUT all Junior Hockey fans have to say Thank You Owen Sound! Kid is so technically sound he makes it look easy at times? However as a Knights fan we have seen this once or twice before!:mad:

After watching Bennett last night I have to wonder what is going to happen for the future. He seems he is ready to play full time in the OHL. Albeit the sample size is small - Koprwski has to pick his game up to another level if he is wanting to remain with Owen Sound. .854 is not good enough.

As much as he's looked fantastic, can't see any reason for Bennett to want to sign here on an A card with George ahead of him. He's going to get far more starts in the CCHL and has an NCAA commitment already.

I don't get a chance to watch many Attack games, but here's what I liked...
Steve Ritchie back doing the anthem! Well done as always.
McKelvie (sp?) simply the best.
Bennett was solid, good lateral movement, very focused.
I looked up DEC's birth date because I thought it would be cool if he was born December 15 with Dec 15 on the back of his jersey. As it turns out, no such luck.

In George we trust! Is it 7:30 yet?

Why would he want to play and develop in the best Jr league in the world? He is committed to St. Lawerence - not exactly the top prestige NCAA Div 1 program. He has a chance to play in the OHL, Develop and learn from one of the best Jr goalies in North America and enhance his post Jr career by getting an offer from a more elite school.

He's also an 06 so same age as George, and at the point where he'll want to be starting somewhere. Can't see a 19 year old next season who could start somewhere backing up the best goalie in Canada.

Doesn't make sense for either player or team in this case, unless an extremely unlikely George deadline trade happens.

Now if Bennett would sign an A card and gets traded to an OHL team where he would start, that seems entirely different.
