You got it and Moe is standing behind the bench guiding there every move.
They are no threat, other than to do something stupid, neither can play and Stewart took care of the tough one

he’d fetch a ton next year too. Why sell?
Barlow will get you a ton next year, even though he is super skilled, I don't think any team will risk what it would take to get him, without knoqwing long term his prognosis

I wonder if there is any hesitation with the Attack's deadline approach that was laid out in early December by GM DeGray? He mentioned at the time it wasn't a good time to sell as so many teams were tight together in point standings that a good week or back week could significantly swing things. Since then the top 5 teams have pulled away and now there is a 7 point gap from 5th seed Guelph and 6 seed Owen Sound. 6th place Owen Sound sits 4 points up on 8th place Flint with Erie nipping on their heels a point back in 7th. We're due to get Barlow back after Christmas which is a big piece for the Attack but is it enough to elevate them into that top 5 seed mix? It seems like this team is settling into the 6/7 seed.

6 games left prior to the deadline:
12/28 -Niagara
12/30 - Kitchener
12/31 - Barrie
1/4 - Erie
1/5 - Niagara
1/6 - Guelph

Not much time left to make decisions and the teams above us will likely bring in pieces which makes that 7 point gap harder to overcome. Is it worth moving assets to finish 6th? As much as it seemed this would be a good year for the Attack coming into the season, it hasn't gone as well as we had hoped. I think it's hard to justify buying at this point.

I think the next wave is clearly going to be around the 07 group and the next contention window would seem to be around George's 19 year old season. Would it not make sense to move out some vets and try to acquire picks and 06 players(if possible) to supplement that next window? Create some more opportunity for the younger players and make them more ready for next season and maybe have a chance to do what Mississauga is doing this year where they have a very talented younger roster that's currently tied for first in the East.

Sedley and Goure would both warrant a decent return as OA players. Guindon and Petrovsky would both warrant a decent package though limited market for import players. Maybe Jordan? It would open the door for some more regular ice time for Smith and Ethier and expanded roles for Addy, Crawford and Nansi. Get Tersigni back into the line up on a regular basis. It would be painful without question, but would it not make this team better down the road?
I've been thinking this for awhile but haven;t wanted to open a can of worms. I would put feelers out for all the above mentioned players and see what comes back. I'm not sure I'd tear it right down but would definitely look at moving some assets to prepare for the next cycle. I think we could move a few assets still be competitive.

I was a little tongue in cheek with my comment lol. I'll take Stewy over either one of them. An in control and playing his role Stewart is a pretty effective player and yes our return for Colby would be better suited for next year.

They put themselves back into the mix with that 8-2 stretch of games and I could see the buy option but since then they've slipped back towards the bottom of the conference. I think now that we're at the half way point in the season this team is what it is.

I think if they sell and get some players back instead of pure player for picks trades then they can still make the playoffs while also being better set up for the future.

I wonder what the market even looks like right now? There doesn't appear to be many sellers at this point and for the most part the teams that are sellers don't have the best pieces to trade. Peterborough likely holds the top end of the market for sell pieces but after that it could be the Attack, maybe Flint? It seems there are more buyers this year, especially with the state of the eastern conference, the Attack would likely do well in trades I would suspect.

Rangers fan here in the spirit of Christmas. Wondering if anyone has a lead on 2 decent tickets for the 30th game against Kitchener before I search elsewhere. Thanks!

Still some seats left online for the Kitchener game and shouldn't be any issue to get a couple seats together. If you just tell it to pick any two seats it will pull up the seating map and you can select any two seats available to change to those seats. Any questions, fire away.

Wow, a night of blowouts, here in kingston adn at the bayshore. What a night for Goure and his line. Everything they touched was going in. That looks like a very bad team in Niagara. I didn't like to see rumble send out his top PP guys at the end of the game at 9-1 or 10-1. That kind of stuff comes back to bite you at some point. I think you still need a Dman or two,

Fantastic game all around, very impressive game from Deni Goure but wow, Jake Crawford is an impressive talent. He's outscoring almost all 07s drafted ahead of him.

As much as I know he asked for it (or more so his dad did twice) I do feel bad for Gavin Bryant. He probably would have had 2/3 points last night and be a strong top 6 player for this team right now, but he's stuck on the worst place team in the OHL and no signs that he will get a chance to make a run for it in his OHL career.

A good case of be careful what you wish for.

I think it's fairly safe to put the idea of buying to bed with this roster. With tonight's loss we now sit 8 points back of 5th place. Pretty much outclassed all game by a shorthanded Rangers team.

Barlow had the patented one-T for the opening goal but otherwise looked rusty. I imagine it will take a couple games to get back up to speed for him. Missed the timing on a few touch passes and fanned on a couple that are out of character for him. Nice to see him out there.

Anybody know what happened to Addy? Did he get hurt or just benched the last two periods? His linemates played the rest of the game with a rotating cast of players while he remained on the bench.
Also don't understand why they took Crawford off the top line with Goure and Burroughs after the game they had against Niagara. I would have rather them drop Waddick to centre the fourth line and run Barlow - Guindon - Nansi as line two instead. Nansi has looked really good of late and starting to hit stride it seems in the top 6.

Also, scoresheet shows a 5 minute major to Jordan for slashing at the end of the game. Have to see if that is worth a look from the league for discipline.

I can't disagree with your assessment .
I would prefer to see Goure and Barlow on different lines, built around them .
Barlow/Guindon/ Nansi/ (Petrovsky upon return from WJC)
I wondered what happened with Nico .
I like his play . He's been playing with an edge .

Burroughs/Goure /Crawford.

I'd be surprised if Taos plays in Barrie
Saw the replay, it didn't look intentional but reckless after the buzzer sounded. I suspect you're correct on the one game since there would be no consequences for the slash/highstick with blood drawn(?) after the game was over.

Here is how the season is gonna go...DD does nothing at the deadline...we stay in the #6-8 conference seed "race"...we finish with 30 wins cause that is all DD strives for...we get two home playoff dates and we are bounced in four or five games...sound familiar? Book it people...

Sounds about right. I say Lets trade , Sedley and Gore , get a good Dman ,and some decent draft picks for next rebuild cycle.
