Who do you even root for?
never answered the question but ill ask again,

i worked in the league for years, i dont 'cheer'.

im confused why if your a fan, you only really bitch and complain and dont cheer when things are going well. they win and your silent, they lose and you on here before the game is over.

if it causes you that much hate, why bother doing it?

Looking at the schedule with his calculator out trying to determine where the possible 13 wins will come from to make it to 30! Crossing off all remaining games vs Kitchener, London, Windsor, Barrie, Sarnia and Ottawa and realizing how close its going to be.
thats about as true as sedley and seed getting 30 minutes of ice time a night :)

Then beat it lol. I don’t need to explain why I’m frustrated to someone who is a fan of Owen Sound.. here is one example of many why I’m mad though.. because the owners and GM only cares about getting 30 wins a year, it’s there number one goal to make this small town market happy. Now politely go be a “fan” somewhere else lol

i hate to break it to you, but message boards are open and while you are allowed to cry and whine and bitch, people are also allowed to call you out on it. if your only retort is 'go away', thats a pretty weak reply.

if you continue to hate and be mad, cheer for another team. i dont get why anyone would actively complain as much as you do but still choose to cheer. you have a choice, your not forced to do anything. if they cause you so much pain that you need to complain every loss, it may be time to move on.
Do you work for the team? I feel like you do…

Not sure if it's a typical with the Attack but Jesus you folks travel well, it felt like there were more people wearing OS merch than there were Fronts gear tonight, at least they saw a good game. Much more lopsided than the Boxscore suggests

Who is OS looking to move?
That's hard to say. I'm not expecting to big of a move there may be a minor deal that helps for next year but that's about it. If it happens it would probably involve moving one of our 03's that they don't expect back next year.

Wondering if maybe DD read the posts on here and played Votary today because maybe theres a deal for Chenard in the works? Or just played him because he had a great game the other day. I highly doubt he ever looks on here but I guess you never know

I guarantee you Dale's not reading the boards for suggestions on how to run the team lol.

I think playing Votary was a couple of factors. One being Chenard has struggled a bit of late and Votary has been playing pretty well over the past month so I think the start was earned on merit and it was also a game close to home for Corbin to play in front of his family and friends.

Based on Dale's comments in Greg Cowan's trade deadline primer on Sun Times I would be pretty shocked if they traded Chenard. He made a point of stating that running with George would be too much too soon for the young goalie. I think with what happened with Guzda they are more cognizant of protecting the young goalie and making sure they set him up for success as he will be a key part of the team for years to come.

I can guarantee that he doesn't. And further to that point he's even said during his time here his opinion about them and how much they aren't in his mind.

As for the tender situation that's entirely up to the coaching staff to start who they think gives them the best chance of winning a game. If the management has any responsibility it's to bring the best available staff and players into their teams organization that they can.

Sometimes it all falls into place and works out and sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes you can bring a coach or player into your organization and the pieces don't click or the players become unhappy. So that's up to the manager to make those adjustments to better improve the team. And every so often it all works out and the pieces click.

I know he honestly doesn't just thought it was funny some of us my self included suggested traded him and then he sat the game before the OA deadline.

How about Onuska + pick to send Chenard home? Maybe a change of scenery may help two struggling OA goaltenders?
I don't think they are all that interested in picks. If they were to trade someone off the roster they would be looking for a player(s) who would help next season. They project to be a very good team next season and I think any moves would need to be made with that window of contention in mind.

As for Onuska, they would likely roll with Votary and George I would think if they were to move Chenard. Dale likes to have all three OA spots filled so they would likely use the opened OA slot for another forward or defenseman I would imagine. Lot of moving parts without any time left.

Looks like we are keeping all of our OAs pending any late announcements. Glad we are developing our OAs for CIAU teams while we healthy scratch and sit young kids on the bench. Seems to make sense????

If DD is not making any deals at the deadline this year, let's focus on the coach/staff.

I didn't expect any changes with the OA situation. Any move made would need to help next year as well based on comments from Dale. If they do anything it would be before tomorrow's deadline and likely would be looking at 04/05 type players rather than adding rental 03s. It's not going to be anything significant as they will keep their ammo for next year's run. All their top players are eligible to return next season and they will look to build around that group.

I would think moves are more likely come training camp in the fall when they know which 03s are back and the results of the import draft and 2023 OHL draft are known. There won't be a big difference in trade assets moving the extra 03s now vs the fall next year so makes sense to hang onto them unless there's a hockey trade to be made for players rather than picks.

I know that's not exciting but it takes discipline to know what you have next year is going to be stronger and focus on making the roster/team the best it can be at that time. They would have the ability to afford one or two bigger adds next season by holding onto their assets now.

Your entire post here makes sense Stellar29 and I agree the entire focus needs to be next year. But I don't get sitting all these young kids while playing the OAs so much, especially important minutes when they are not impact players. Let's develop the younger kids who will be here next year. That kind of falls on coaching though that I strongly feel needs to be addressed.
