Yup. It was like watching an only child not getting his way.

Owen sound dis their fair of whinny to the refsafter each and every call so don't go saying its just the hounds

Except nobody said it was just the hounds.....
And nobody said anything about whining to the refs, either.

I was referring to the antics of the Hounds players, particularly in the 3rd. Carroll's unsportsmanlike major comes to mind, and my personal favourite was Timmins picking up the puck after the whistle and hurling it out of the Soo zone when the Attack were buzzing around his net on the PP. I could go on.

I think it's clear enough that the Hounds aren't used to things not going their way, and it shows in their behaviour.

By contrast, the Attack have faced more than their fair share of adversity this season and, for the most part, they look more composed out there as a result, even in defeat.

Attack going into game 7 in a must win scenario against the Soo.

Looking back at the whole season the Attack and coach Gill has done a very good job keeping composure when the road was rocky throughout this season. I like the way the team is shaping up for the future seasons with the youth of the team in Russell, Groulx and Dudas being upfront and Chibrikov going to be big for the team's future.

This season isn't out of reach for the team adversity is the name of the game in the playoffs and this team has certainly seen a lot of it all year.

As a Soo fan, best of luck tonight in the Soo. As a hockey fan, all you can ask for is a close game with no controversial calls. Hopefully the refs let the boys play on both sides.. goaltending is solid and its decided on the ice. Game 7's are what hockey is all about. Safe travels to anyone making the trek up to watch, 2 foot snow drifts over night and freezing rain have made the roads interesting to say the least.

To be fair most of the Soo likes Cherry. Heck I still like him.. just need to realize half of what he says is for show, the other half is opinion. He wouldnt still be on t.v. if he didn't get people offended. It may snow alot up here in the North but we are not all snowflakes.
I can’t believe you
guys still talking about Don Cherry get over with it it’s old news who cares grew up bunch of pylons

Thanks, and best wishes to the Soo as well.
Let's hope the refs have their best game of the playoffs as well, and let the boys in red decide their own outcome.

Thanx for the praise TDN last game 7 OS was in turned out to be big in 2011.

wasn't there a big controversy that series too regarding officiating by Scott Ferguson? Wasn't Mississauga head coach Dave Cameron fined by league for comments about the officials handing the game to Owen Sound?

I seem to recall Dave Cameron's quote to the media after an OS win in that series "There's been a lot of BS in the series and they have a kid who's been whinning and diving all series" Dave Cameron

And we all know what went on after that.

I recall OS fans generously helped Cameron pay his fine.

Then after the Missy Majors flamed out in both the Robertson and Memorial Cups, his boss Eugene Melnyk hired Attack coach Mark Reeds, and Dave Cameron to coach his Ottawa Sens.

I wonder if those two ever commiserated over a beer or two on team trips ?

No dog in this fight, but I'll be watching the game on the OHL Action Pack.
Does anyone else get the distinct feeling that this game will be for the OHL
Championship ? I have this foreboding thought that the Hamilton Spectator Trophy will become an afterthought, and this series is where the actual Championship will be decided.

This will be the Platers / Attack 4th game 7.

They lost one, and won two in overtime. Talk about heartstopping .
