He seemed to get himself going after a couple of sluggish games, really noticeable yesterday. No idea what he might be dealing with this late in the season, but certainly looking forward to seeing what he does with additional strength going both for his shot power and velocity as well as how he can impose on others in one-on-one battles.

Dahlin and Power are very different. I could see Power being the more balanced of the two. He is a great skater, and with his frame he is going to be a serious physical presence. Dahlin and Sammy are a perfect pair to play behind your top line to push offense with Sammy to protect. I want to see them get another 2-way balanced dman to play with Power and have them playing behind a two-way second line built around Cozens.

We are so lucky to have the 2, no other team in the NHL can mitigate their 1D being injured like the Sabres.

Small sample size, but it does seem that in games without Dahlin, Power really steps it up. More assertive, pushing the pace by moving the puck quickly or skating it, going for jaunts in the O-zone. Doesn't do as much of that thing in the D-zone where he makes a move to lose the forechecker, comes to a stop on the wall, and sits there till someone comes to him and then makes a pass.
He's like a malkin on defense to dahlin's crosby

His first 82 games complete. 6-31-37, +15, 23:34 a game. As a rookie. He gets totally disrespected like he wasn't a #1 overall elite prospect. Already on the verge of a #1 dman in his own right.
Those are some good stats for a first "season".

He's had the topical up and down moments in this final stretch but the kid looked elite on this shift

Wow that all started from him defending the rush and then the way he filled in for joki then drove the lane like a center wow... The way he sees the ice is sublime and how uses his iq to abuse his vision is critical.

i think its hard to call someone disrespected when theres a national hockey reporter making arguments about why he deserves calder votes every other week

He has incredible patience w the puck on offense.. Hus defensive play is becoming equally efficient as he's had dahlin to help, considering his age.. Wow. He deserves the Calder... and will get some votes playing like a 5 year vet.

His physicality has had quite an uptick in the late season surge. It’s almost like he’s starting to understand the significance of what it takes to play in the playoffs. Offensively he’s just so patient, smart and creative. His D game has warts, mostly based off him losing puck battles because of his lack of physicality. He’s always been very sound in his positioning and reads in the D zone so as he starts to gain muscle and confidence in his own zone, look out. Hedman upside.

I think it would be a damn shame if this kid doesn't win the Calder this year. What a season.

Ya'll have some really great young talent on the roster and I hope they put it together next year. Pulling for ya.
Probably not enough points to raise voters eyebrows, especially after a Dman won it last season. Beniers has been great, and unfortunately a lot of what Power does to drive offense doesn't show up on the stat sheet all the time.

That's the travesty imo. It shouldn't all be points. His impact this year goes so far beyond that.
